Spain to Help Scotland Fight UK’s ‘Scaremongering’

'The Spanish Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo, has confirmed that his country will vote for an independent Scotland to become a member of the European Union.

Westminster has raised concerns over the possibility that Spain would veto an independent Scotland’s EU membership in a bid to spread skepticism about the virtues of the country’s ending the 300-year old union with the UK.

Nevertheless, Spain’s Foreign Minister categorically ruled out any such possibility as he said that the Spanish government had “nothing to say” on the issue.'
