Why England cannot have a Parliament

I can best describe the
feeling of watching David Lammy
on Question Time last night
arguing against an English Parliament
as similar to having a tooth pulled.
Slowly.
Without anaesthetic.
Are Labour politicians aware
of just how idiotic they look
when they say the Scots deserve
their devolved government,
the Welsh should have a greater
say over themselves and
Northern Ireland's devolved government
is essential,
but that England must not
have devolved government?

So what is it about England?
England having power over
its own affairs is unthinkable,
say Labour,
because it would destroy the Union.
