The Prince has no business interfering in a highly conentious
political issue in the first place let alone in the EU which probably
a majority of the population do not respect.
It's quite enough to be the last nail in the monarchy's coffin.
On the issue itself we might well agree about rain forests but the
lunatic wind-farm drive has the opposite effect to its proclaimed
virtues. It increases carbon emissions (all that concrete and
associated roads, pylons etc) and every one pays the cost of the
massive subsidy in in hidden charges on their electricity bills.
Simultaneously we have a cold snap in India blamed on Global Warming
which presumably is also responsible for the coldest winter in the
Northern Hemisphere for decades. Record ice formation in Antarctica
must somehow also be due to this mythical Warming. In 2006 the very
strong hurricane season was blamed on Global warming while the 2007
gentler batch were blamed for being gentle on - you've guessed -
Global Warming . And what's the betting that the record Himalayan
snowfalls this winter will not be reported whereas the lesser
snowfalls last year were going to devastate India all due to Global
Warming - or so we were told. Nobody will mention that that threat
has gone away due to global cooling.
