Just spoken  ============== BBC ONLINE   13.8.08 at 16:15  Bush: Russia must withdraw forces from Georgia  George Bush, US President BBC News  Mr Bush said Russia’s military operations in Georgia had raised   “serious questions” over the country's intentions in the region after   suggesting it was failing to honour yesterday's ceasefire agreement.  “The military operations in Georgia had raised “serious questions”   over the country's intentions in the region after suggesting it was   failing to honour yesterday's ceasefire agreement.  “The US strongly supports France's efforts as President of the   European Union to broker agreement,” the President said.  “The US stands with the democratically elected government of Georgia   and insists that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia   be respected.    “Russia has stated that changing the government of Georgia is not   its goal. The US and the world expect Russia to honour that commitment.  “Russia has also stated it has halted military operations –   unfortunately we have received reports of Russian actions that are   inconsistent with these statements.”  Mr Bush said he was sending Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to   the region to meet President Mikheil Saakashvili and tell him the US   was standing by Georgia.   He added that the US was also leading humanitarian efforts and that   aid was on the way to the country.   “We expect all Russian forces that have entered Georgia in recent   days to withdraw from that country,” Mr Bush said
