What a Day! Washington Has a Plan!
Dateline USA....
Good news for John McCain: the world is not ending. America is not going down the drain, despite the hopes of the Candidate of Change, Barack Hussein Obama, and his most zealous left-wing (and Islamist-leaning and Islamist-sympathizing) supporters.
With bipartisan backing, a major new federal funding facility will be created to deal with the financial crisis--i.e. to provide a comprehensive solution for the billions of dollars of bad debt that haas poisoned the balance sheets of the biggest banks and financial firms.
Meanwhile, administrative measures will be taken pending passage of necessary new legislation.
The markets responded appropriately Thursday. Although there may be profit taking tomorrow in some sectors, a higher open and another good day is expected for Friday.
At the end of the day, the American economy, as Republican Presidential candidate McCain and President Bush have asserted, is fundamentally strong; and any government, let alone a superpower, has weapons and tools as its disposal to deal with financial crises.
2008 is not 1929. America is alive and well. Obama should stay away from the economy and energy and instead stick to advocating appeasement of nuclear arming, Islamist Iran--his real area of expertise.
