Two Insights into the Federalist EU´s Future

 

During a recent federalist love-in on changing the procedures for the election of the European Parliament in 2014 and beyond, Gerard Onesta, French green MEP and a vice-president of the parliament no less, said “If I spent more time with my constituents I would be much less efficient as an MEP”.

A group of national parliamentarians meeting in Brussels recently heard an Austrian delegate say: “We [meaning the EU] need another 30 million migrants to keep our economy working in future”.
