FROM ZERO TO HERO!

It just gets more surreal. Anyone catch Mark Wardell's stomach-churning salutations for the Great Leader on the Ten News? I thought it was really bad even by BBC standards and Wardell even referred to Prudence as "the Saviour of global capitalism". (This the man who has semi-socialised our banking system!!) As if that were not enough the BBC went on to approvingly quote the EU call for "transparency, accountability, responsibility" in future international financial dealings. Anyone got an update for me on the signing off of the EU annual accounts?

I have an idea- let's play "guess the blanked out email addresses" (click image to enlarge). Guidohas the details of how the BBC are planning a rerun of their 1997 celebrations, US-style. Don't forget how the BBC enjoyed that occasion, as documented in our right-hand column: " the corridors of Broadcasting House were strewn with empty champagne bottles." Unforgettable- and just look at how well it's all turned out. Can hardly wait for The One.

(thanks to those in the comments eg. G. Cooper and George R who have already highlighted this story)

NOT ALL RELIGIONS ARE EQUAL

Been away all day so just catching up! Was interested to read that the BBC's Kommissar General Mark Thompson has admitted that the broadcaster has to tackle Islam differently to Christianity and is reluctant to broadcast jokes about it. In other words, the BBC is dhimmified, prepared to set a different standard for Islam and back away from any critique of the ROP. Not really a surprise, and we have frequently discussed how this policy manifests itself day in day out. But perhaps the more salient point is that given Thompson's admission of bias in favour of Islam, how can the BBC continue to allege it is impartial?
