Comment: John McCain is Our Captain America
John McCain, who retired from the US Navy as a captain, is more than a war hero. He is our super hero--our Captain America.
McCain is the man we need right now to pull us out of a recession and win the war against Islamo-Nazi terrorism and extremism.
He is the champion we need to keep our country safe ... and keep people in their homes ... the fighter we need to reduce our costly and dangerous dependance on foreign oil ... the Presidential candidate who steadfastly stands for creating wealth instead of "spreading it around."

Israel Slams Russia, China, India for Aiding Iran
Israel is increasingly concerned about the international community's failure to stop Iran from acquiring atomic arms.
Ynet reports:"The Iranians are determined to develop nuclear power, and we believe it is delusional to think otherwise. Iran's plan jeopardizes both regional stability and that of the entire world," Defense Minister Ehud Barak said on Wednesday evening in a meeting with European Union ambassadors.
Barak lashed out against Russia, India and China for continuing to do business with Tehran at a time when most of the West is seeking to further tighten the sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic.
"So long as Russia, Chine and India do not join the nations imposing sanctions on Iran, it will have allies to do business with," said Barak. The defense minister briefed the EU envoys on a number of state and defense issues relevant to the Middle East, as well as Israel's continued efforts to rally world opinion against Iran's nuclear program. What About Ayers' Contribution to Obama?
Deroy Murdock raises an important question: why haven't Obama's critics focused on Bill Ayers' campaign contribution to Obama?Barack Obama's critics appropriately have spotlighted his ties to William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, the remorseless co-founders and leaders of the terrorist Weather Underground. However, Obama's detractors largely overlook Ayers' campaign contribution to Obama.
On April 2, 2001, Ayers donated $200 to Obama's Illinois State Senate re-election campaign. Though not a jackpot, this represents Ayers' only recorded political contribution.
The Illinois State Board of Elections' online database shows that Ayers donated to no other candidate. The websites of the Federal Elections Commission, The Center for Responsive Politics (opensecrets.org), and NewsMeat.com indicate that Ayers has made no disclosed federal campaign contributions.
Why is this important?
First, recall Ayers' actions. As a top Weatherman, Ayers inspired, instructed and directed a domestic-terrorist network that bombed no fewer than 18 locations. Among them: the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, the State Department, the Presidio Army Base, plus New York's Queens Courthouse, the 103rd Precinct, and the headquarters of ITT and the NYPD. A bomb prematurely detonated on Greenwich Village's West 11th Street on March 7, 1970, killing three Weathermen. The nail-filled device was supposed to blast an Officers' Club dance at New Jersey's Fort Dix Army Base. It would have maimed and likely killed scores of GIs and their dates and spouses.
Had it exploded on schedule, Ayers said it would have torn "through windows and walls and, yes, people too."
The Weather Underground's Oct. 20, 1981 robbery of $1.6 million from a Brink's armored car triggered a shootout in Nyack, New York that killed guard Peter Paige and Nyack policemen Waverly Brown and Edward O'Grady.
Ayers laments nothing.
"I don't regret setting bombs," he said in 2001. "I feel we didn't do enough."
Second, in spite of all this, Obama associated with Ayers, on the boards of Chicago's Woods Fund and the $160 million Chicago Annenberg Challenge, to which Ayers helped appoint Obama chairman of the board. Ayers and Dohrn -- his radical, violent, unrepentant wife -- welcomed Obama to their Chicago home for a 1995 reception that launched his first Illinois State Senate bid.
Obama has struggled to explain why he stood in the living room of an unapologetic bomb thrower.

The Washington Times has published a devastating opinion piece by Chris W. Cox, executive director of the NRA Institute for Legislative Action. Here's an excerpt: Questionnaires aside, Mr. Obama has supported handgun bans even when they trap people who defend themselves. In a 2003 case, a resident of Wilmette, Ill., used a handgun to defend himself from a burglar with a drug habit and a long criminal record, breaking into his home for the second day in a row. Though authorities found the shooting justified, the armed citizen was charged with possessing a handgun in violation of Wilmette's handgun ban.
Illinois lawmakers proposed legislation that would make self-defense an "affirmative defense" against prosecution for handgun possession in towns like Wilmette. Mr. Obama voted four times against the measure, which passed over his opposition, and over a veto by Illinois' anti-gun governor, Rod Blagojevich, a long-time Obama ally.
Self-defense at home or outside the home - it's all just as bad to Mr. Obama. In 2004, he said he was "consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry," and that he'd back "federal legislation that would ban citizens from carrying weapons, except for law enforcement." Mr. Obama had already put that anti-self-defense belief into action in 2001, voting against a state Senate bill that would have allowed people who receive protective orders - such as domestic violence victims - to carry firearms. Why? Because, in Mr. Obama's world, "authorizing potential victims to carry firearms would potentially lead to a more dangerous rather than less dangerous situation … It was a bad idea and I'm glad it failed," he said.
Mr. Obama also claims he's no threat to hunters. But in 2005, he voted for a ban on all but the smallest rifle ammunition used for hunting (or for anything else). If the measure had passed, it would have classified most rifle ammunition beyond the low-powered .22 caliber as "armor piercing ammunition," prohibited for civilian manufacture by federal law. The ammunition ban was hardly Mr. Obama's first act against hunters, either. In 1999, Mr. Obama proposed increasing firearm and ammunition excise taxes by 500 percent. Right now, a rifle that a manufacturer sells for $500 carries an excise tax of $55. Under Mr. Obama's proposal, that amount would rocket to $330. This would turn a tax willingly paid by sportsmen, which funds many of our wildlife conservation programs, into a tool to punish gun buyers.

Barack Obama would use his presidential power to discourage enforcement of federal immigration laws and offer blanket amnesty to 12 million illegal immigrants as part of his quiet plan to dismantle U.S. immigration policies.
In numerous speeches and interviews, Obama has repeated his pro-illegal immigrant stance, aimed squarely at filling voter rolls with hoards of newly minted Democratic voters.
But giving amnesty — and eventually, citizenship — to 12 million illegal immigrants would not only overwhelm social service programs but also forever alter the nation’s political profile, especially in the South and the West, experts warn.
Despite such dire predictions, Obama has outlined his soft-touch immigration policy dozens of times during the campaign. Some of the best indicators of what an Obama presidency would mean for immigrants can be found in Spanish-language television ads he is running in the southwestern U.S., where the Hispanic population is large, vocal, and politically savvy.
Obama’s ads promise to put citizenship papers in every illegal immigrant’s pocket and a portal to American prosperity in every home.

Obama overkill?
His $3 million, half-hour paid program was fundamentally depressing, confirming criticism of Obama as the next Jimmy Carter.
The "spread-the-wealth" Democrat plans to raise taxes at the worst possible time--during a recession. His economic policies will turn the recession into a full-blown depression.LA Times Lies About Obama Video Source
China Confidential has learned that the Los Angeles Times is lying about an agreement with a confidential source that supposedly gave the newspaper a tape of the anti-Israel dinner. There is no such agreement, no source in the journalistic sense of the term. The reporter, our sources say, wrote the original article about the dinner after screening the video.
The Times, which has endorsed Obama, simply does not want to hurt his chances this late in the campaign.
The unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers and his former bomber wife, Bernadine Dohrn, were present at the dinner.
Obama is alleged to have said: "Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine" and to have accused Israel of "genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis."
The Times' bias is beyond belief.
Here's the newspaper's side of the story:The Times will not post video of a 2003 event attended by Obama and a Palestinian scholar, saying it made a promise to a source. On the campaign trail, the GOP nominees blast the newspaper's stance....
John McCain and Sarah Palin, the Republican nominees for president and vice president, sharply criticized the Los Angeles Times today for withholding a video of a 2003 event in which Barack Obama, their Democratic rival, praised a Palestinian scholar.
"It must be nice for a candidate to have major news organizations looking after his best interests like that," Palin said in Bowling Green, Ohio. "Maybe some politicians would love to have a pet newspaper of their very own. In this case, we have a newspaper willing to throw aside even the public's right to know in order to protect a candidate that its own editorial board has endorsed."
The Times has said that making the recording public would violate a promise to a confidential source.
The video was mentioned in a Times story in April 2008 on Obama's friendships with Palestinian Americans in Chicago. The story said that Obama attended a farewell dinner for the Palestinian scholar, at which some speakers spoke angrily of Israel's treatment of Palestinians and of U.S. policy toward Israel. It said that Obama spoke warmly at the dinner of the scholar, Rashid Khalidi, but that his comments focused on finding common ground.
McCain, in an interview today with radio station WAQI in Miami, which serves the Latino community, asserted that the tape could shed light on Obama's relationship with William Ayers, the onetime Weather Underground radical who later came to know Obama.Khamenei (to Obama): Iran Hates America
Foreign Confidential....
As if to confirm the view that appeasement invites aggression, and arguably anticipating an Obama victory in the US Presidential election, Iran's so-called supreme leader said Wednesday that his country's hatred for the United States runs deep and differences between the two nations go beyond a few political issues. AP reports:Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's comments on state-run television less than a week before the American presidential elections were seen as a signal that a thaw in U.S.-Iran relations was not expected no matter who wins the Nov. 4 race.
Khamenei said the hatred is rooted in 50 years of U.S. intervention in Iran's domestic affairs and hostility toward Tehran.
"The hatred of the Iranian nation is deep-seated. The reason is the various conspiracies by the U.S. government against the Iranian people and government in the past 50 years," Khamenei said.
He was addressing a group of students in Tehran days ahead of the 29th anniversary of the 1979 storming of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran by militant students.
