International Atomic Energy Agency Calls On North Korea To Halt Reckless Nuclear Proliferation

At an assembly of the International Atomic Energy Agency on Saturday, Israeli delegate David Danieli accused North Korea of providing weapons of mass destruction to at least six Middle Eastern countries, thereby breaking its commitments as a member of the Non Proliferation Treaty. In response the 145 nation assembly passed a unanimous vote calling on North Korea to reverse the steps it had taken to revive its illegal nuclear program. 10/05/08

International - Israel's Top Defense Officials Express Their Opinion On The Upcoming American Election
The Jewish Council for Education and Research (JCER) recently released this video featuring some of Israel's highest ranking retired defense officials from the IDF, the Mossad and the Shin Bet, expressing their opinions on the upcoming American presidental election. Yet some of the officials pictured in the video, including Former Deputy Chief of Staff Uzi Dayan, claim the organization unfairly misrepresented their views for political purposes. 10/05/08

On his sixth visit to the region French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner spent Sunday meeting with Israel's top echelon to discuss developments in the region. On the eve of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's two day visit to Russia, the cabinet is expected to discuss a proposal to transfer ownership of Sergei's Courtyard in downtown Jerusalem's Russian Compound to the Russian government. European energy companies sold out national interest in favor of private economic gain on Saturday, as French company Total and Austrian company OMV met in Tehran for a high-profile Iranian oil and gas conference.
