Will American Jews Sell Israel Down the River?
Dateline USA....
Polls indicate that Barack Hussein Obama will capture 70% of the Jewish vote.
This New York Jew hopes--prays--the polls are wrong.
This New York Jew knows--in his heart and his head--that a vote for Obama is a vote for Israel's annihilation and America's humiliation and expulsion from the Middle East.
The man who has been hailed as a messianic figure by Muslim and left-wing radicals across the world will weaken the United States and cut Israel's throat--with a smile.
That's why the Israel- and America-hating "Muslim street" and the tyrants and terrorists who lead the ignorant masses are rooting for Obama. They see him as one of their own, as shown by the video below. In it, the lunatic Libyan leader, Muammar Khadafi, praises Obama as a "Muslim" from "Kenyan origins." -Ben NaftaliOil Price Plunge Shakes Iran
Three weeks ago, a hard-line cleric close to Iran's president gloated publicly that the world financial crisis was God's punishment on the United States. The laughter, however, was short-lived.
Iran plunged this week into a bitter storm of political recrimination, largely directed at President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as officials and ordinary Iranians realized with shock that the Islamic republic faces a severe economic crisis of its own.
The reason: As oil prices plunge because of the global slowdown, Iran is caught in a classic crunch. Ahmadinejad's government failed to save enough of the billions in oil windfall it earned during the good years to now cushion the bad.
The same crunch afflicts Venezuela and to a lesser extent, Russia, as all three struggle with falling oil prices.
But in Iran, the economic crisis has quickly turned political. Economic woes are the key issue as Ahmadinejad — already deeply unpopular and suffering from exhaustion, he said this week — seeks re-election next summer in a tough vote. And they are shaping up as his weakness.
Critics say he has recklessly squandered Iran's oil windfall on costly, subsidized imports, from fruit and other goods to the gasoline the country must buy overseas because of a refinery shortage, while failing to take any needed reforms.
"The Iranian people got a golden opportunity in history. But it was buried under this government's wrong policies," said Mohsen Safaei Farahani, a former lawmaker and reformist economist.
Among the dire statistics made public this week: The government may have as little as $9 billion left in its hard-currency reserve, the rainy day fund set aside to bolster the currency, import goods or pay off debt, according to one official, an ally of the president, who gave that figure to newspapers.
Other officials immediately disputed that, saying Iran still had closer to $20 billion or $25 billion in the fund.
But the relatively low figures shocked the country, leading one state agency to send an investigative report to Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and parliament Monday, accusing Ahmadinejad's government of financial violations. Among the accusations: His government unlawfully withdrew money from the fund.
Even if Ahmadinejad is not re-elected in June, it is unclear how much Iran's foreign policy would change. Khamenei, a hard-liner, has the final say in all state matters and strongly supports Iran's nuclear program and dislike for the United States.

Dateline USA....
American Thinker consulting editor J.R. Dunn predicts a McCain victory. He writes:Okay, here's my prediction: I have believed all throughout this campaign, and still do, that if Barack Obama goes into the final weekend leading by less than 5%, he's finished. According to this week's reputable polls (Gallup, Rasmussen, and IBD/TIPP, not the ones comprised of 98% Democrats and 2% "Republican-leaning"), Obama is now only 2-3 points ahead of McCain. So I'm calling it for Mac.
What am I, delusive? A compulsive contrarian? One of those "mavericks" you read about in the papers? All the above - but bear with me. In a normal presidential campaign, a lead of 2-3% this late in the day would be insuperable. In 2004, George W. Bush remained steadily ahead of the guy with the hat by 1.5 to 2 points throughout the summer, just below his final winning count of 51% to 48%.
But this is not a normal campaign, nor is Barack Obama a normal candidate. He's a man who has slipped in by an accident of history, as being the candidate who was not Hillary. Since then, his campaign has been kept on top in large part by slippery financing and a supine media. But none of that can change what a man is. And Obama is -- to speak plainly -- a security risk, incredibly ignorant and inexperienced, and as I wrote on this site only recently, a flake. All of those factors have been catching up with him in recent days.

Ignored by the pro-Obama mainstream media, Wendy Button, a Democratic speechwriter explains why she is voting for John McCain.Since I started writing speeches more than ten years ago, I have always believed in the Democratic Party. Not anymore. Not after the election of 2008. This transformation has been swift and complete and since I’m a woman writing in the election of 2008, “very emotional.”
When I entered this campaign, it was at the 2006 Edwards staff Christmas party. My nametag read “Millie Worker.” When former Senator John Edwards read it, he laughed and said, “That makes you like my parent.” He went on to say, “Would you please come down to Chapel Hill so we can talk about what’s coming up.” I sat in John and Elizabeth’s living room for two and half hours. I left North Carolina, energized about politics for the first time in months.
Not only has this party belittled working people in this campaign, it has also been part of tearing down two female candidates.
I didn’t hear from anyone for three weeks.
When I finally received the official offer, it was the kind of political offer that said, “Go away.” That happens. It’s their campaign and I just assumed that I had been pushed out. The problem was that I had canceled a number of freelance writing jobs because I had assumed that when John said, “Start right away” I would. I needed a job right away and so I took the one in front of me with Senator Barack Obama.
When we first met, Obama and I had a nice conversation about speeches and writing, and at the end of the meeting I handed him a pocket-sized bottle of Grey Poupon mustard so he wouldn’t have to ask staff if it was okay to put it on his hamburger. At the bottom of the bottle was the logo for “The South Beach Diet” and he snapped, “Oh so you read People magazine.” He seemed to think that I was commenting on his bathing suit picture.
I helped with his announcement speech and others. I worked in the Senate when he was in D.C. One day after a hearing on Darfur, we were walking back to the office. I was still hobbling from a very bad ankle injury and in a very kind and gentle way he offered his arm when we approached the stairs. But later in debate preps and phone conversations and meetings, I realized that I had made a mistake. I didn’t belong. No matter how hard I tried, my heart wasn’t in it anymore.
See campaigns get complicated when you’ve written for so many Democrats. Not only had I written for Senator Edwards, but I had also been Senator Hillary Clinton’s speechwriter. Senator Joe Biden is a “good looking” man and his care after my father almost died from an aneurysm is the kind of kindness you never forget. When I saw Edwards at a traffic light in D.C. about a year after our meeting, he asked for help and I did and it was an honor to help him with his concession speech. And when the primary ended, it was a privilege to help Michelle Obama with a stump speech, be considered as a speechwriter for the V.P. nominee again, and send friends in Chicago ideas until the financial crisis hit. This is what the Democratic Party has been for me; it’s family. Now, it doesn’t even feel like a distant cousin.
