New Awkward Questions to the European Commission, November 2008
Diversity Going Too Far?
Given that the European Union is predicated on the notion of union through diversity, while the essential reality is standardisation, does the Commission not agree that the introduction of a Mediterranean Assembly and Mr Sarkozy´s special meetings of the Eurozone take the theoretical idea of diversity too far? Are not these developments the manifestation of the first significant cracks in the edifice?
Is Taxpayers Money Safe Abroad?
Since the Commission admitted some time ago to having more than 660 bank accounts around the world, will it now list the countries in which they were located?
In the interests of the taxpayers of the nation states whose money this is, will the Commission please identify any countries where their accounts have since been closed, and state the reasons why?
Finally, has the Commission reviewed the safety of its cash deposits around the world as a result of the present global financial upheaval? And if so, what conclusions did it draw, and what decisions have been taken and acted upon?
Support for EU Erodes Further in UK
What does the Commission intend to do about the serious erosion of support in the UK?
How does it respond to the 99% of readers of the Daily Express who said they were in favour of British withdrawal from the EU? Whilst this might be an extreme and unreliable figure, with no scientific justification, results in a properly run mini referendum in Luton point in the same direction.
How does the Commission view the results of the ITV poll which revealed that 54% of the population of Luton were in favour of Britain leaving the EU? Barely a third of voters wanted to remain. The figures on the Lisbon Treaty were even more decisive. Nearly two-thirds were against.
Mediterranean Assembly
What relations will the Mediterranean Assembly have with Hamas, Hezbollah and Lukud? Are they to be excluded, included, consulted, supported, or what?

Is The National Black Police Association Racist?
A letter to the Home Secretary asks her to clarify the place of an apparently racist organisation in the police.
Mr Mote wrote:
Dear Home Secretary,
Why is there a National Black Police Association in the UK?
Is its existence not, by definition, racist?
What would your reaction be to the establishment of a National White Police Association, and an Indigenous Police Association?
Yours sincerely
Ashley Mote

UK´s population will overtake Germany by 2050
Overcrowding will be “intolerable”, says MEP
Present demographic trends suggest the UK will be more populous by 2050 than Germany, despite being 40% smaller and having four times as many people per square mile already. “Overcrowding will have exceeded all tolerable levels”, according to Ashley Mote MEP, author of OverCrowded Britain.
Mr Mote’s comments follow a new report by the European Council which wants more social inclusion and integration in member states to accommodate migrants. The European Commission and the European Parliament plan, between them, to introduce yet more “concrete legislative proposals? to implement this objective, according to the report.
