(IsraelNN.com) Two Fatah-aligned terrorists who were pardoned by outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert helped plot a bombing at the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station on Tuesday that was foiled at the last minute by Israeli intelligence agents.
WorldNetDaily journalist Aaron Klein quoted a senior member in the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, the terrorist arm of the Fatah faction led by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, that Hizbullah was involved in funding the planned attack. A terror alert, the highest possible, set off a massive manhunt by air and land in the metropolitan Tel Aviv area during the rush hour until three suspects were arrested near the Central Bus Station.
The Islamic Jihad terrorist group in Jenin coordinated the planned attack with Al Aqsa, which Klein explained did not inform the media because of the amnesty agreement and the prime minister's plan to free another 250 terrorists as a "goodwill" gesture to Abbas.
One of the terrorists involved in planning the attack was Mohammed Abu Drei, who was killed by the IDF in a counterterrorist operation in Shechem earlier this week. The IDF hunted him down for other terrorist connections, and only later in the week was it discovered that he was planning the strike against Tel Aviv.
The PA ostensibly has taken responsibility for maintaining law and order in Shechem and Jenin, but the deployment of armed special forces has mostly acted as a showcase for the United States and the PA to convince Israel that terror is under control. However, the special forces, which the government calls "police officers," do not operate at night, when most of the Israeli counterterrorist operations take place.
The planned Tel Aviv bombing was to be carried out with explosives that police discovered in a bag after the initial arrest of a Jenin Arab in a house near Tel Aviv.
Government spokesmen announced that Islamic Jihad was behind the foiled operation and did not make any mention of Fatah, which the Olmert administration is trying to prop up through concessions and counterterrorist operations aimed mostly at rival terrorist gangs.
The pardoned terrorist who was arrested is Ahmed Amire, a member of Al Aqsa from Jenin and who may have provided Israeli intelligence with more information about the imminent attack. Prime Minister Olmert granted amnesty to him, and to Drei as well as more than 100 comrades from Al Aqsa in return for a promise to turn in their weapons, remain in the custody of the PA for three months and not return to terrorism.
'Peace Partner' attempted Tel Aviv bombing
But Israeli government, media blames another group

TEL AVIV, Israel – Members of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah organization were involved in planning a foiled attack targeting Tel Aviv's central bus station yesterday, terrorist sources told WND.
Information obtained also indicates specific Fatah terrorists granted amnesty in recent months by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert plotted the attack. That detail is significant because, according to Palestinian sources speaking to WND, Olmert is slated to announce the pardon of dozens more Fatah terrorists ahead of a Muslim holiday this weekend.
Yesterday, Israeli police, acting on specific intelligence, thwarted what they said would have been a large-scale terrorist bombing of Tel Aviv's bus station. Security forces here arrested a Palestinian resident of the West Bank city of Jenin who had infiltrated Israel. He was captured along with three other people at a house just outside Tel Aviv.
Following the Palestinian's arrest yesterday, the would-be bomber led police to a nearby city where he had hidden a bag filled with explosives reportedly meant to be detonated at the bus station.
Sources in Fatah's declared military wing, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, told WND yesterday their group planned the bombing alongside the Islamic Jihad terror organization in Jenin. Fatah is Israel's declared peace partner. The group is considered moderate by U.S. policy.
Nevertheless, the Israeli media and official Israeli government spokesmen, declared the thwarted bombing was an Islamic Jihad operation with no mention of Fatah and its Brigades.
WND has learned the original intelligence alerting security forces here to yesterday's planned bombing came with the arrest, just hours before the plot was halted, of Ahmed Amire, a Fatah Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade member in Jenin who had been pardoned by Olmert last June.
Also, the night before, the Israel Defense Forces, conducting an anti-terror arrest operation, killed Muhammad Abu Drei, another pardoned Al Aqsa member on suspicion he was plotting an imminent attack meant for central Israel. Drei was killed after he opened fire on Israeli forces. Amire may have provided the intelligence on the whereabouts of the Palestinian bomber, although security sources declined to divulge the information to WND due to an ongoing investigation.
Olmert issued amnesty to Amire, Drei and to over 100 of their Brigades colleagues on condition they disarm, refrain from attacks and spend three months in a PA detention facility. Following the three month detention, the pardoned Brigades terrorists would need to spend another three months confined to the city in which they reside, and then the gunmen would be offered full amnesty – meaning they would have complete freedom of travel throughout the West Bank and would be treated like an ordinary Palestinian.
Despite the amnesty agreement, many Brigades members retained their weapons and have been caught attempting scores of attacks. The freedom of travel granted to them by the amnesty agreement gave Brigades members the mobility to plot and carry out attacks as well as smuggle weapons across the West Bank, security sources said.
Still, according to top PA sources speaking to WND yesterday, Olmert is slated to announce another round of pardons for Al Aqsa Brigades terrorists ahead of Sunday's Muslim holiday of Ein Al Adha, which commemorates the Islamic belief that Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son Ishmail as an act of obedience to Allah. Jewish tradition relates Abraham was willing to sacrifice his other son, Isaac, and not Ishmail.
(IsraelNN.com) Eitan Broshi, a senior aide in the Defense Ministry, confirmed Thursday morning that he met with Hevron and Peace House leaders Wednesday night. He maintained that there will be no compromise on the law and that the ministry will act according to the court ruling and advice of Attorney General Menachem Mazuz.
Government officials have said they will consider a recording and video of the purchase of the Peace House by Jews from an Arab, who subsequently reneged on the sale after being threatened with death by the Palestinian Authority.

(IsraelNN.com) A tense quiet gripped the Hevron Peace House early Thursday morning amid reports that aides to Defense Minister Ehud Barak are holding secret negotiations with leaders of the Peace House and Hevron in an effort to reach a compromise and stop ongoing violence.
Barak categorically stated Wednesday night that no such talks were taking place, but the Hebrew-language newspaper Ma'ariv stated that leaders from Hevron community and Yesha (the regions of Judea and Samaria) met Wednesday night with lawyers from the office of Attorney General Menachem Mazuz.
The newspaper said that Yesha human rights spokeswoman Orit Struk and Hevron attorney Elyakim HaEtzni also participated in the secret talks towards a compromise that no expulsion of the Jewish residents would take place until a civil court rules on who is the legal owner of the building.
In exchange, all of the non-residents of the Peace House would leave and the families remaining there would agree to leave peacefully if the court rules against the Jew, Morris Abraham, who has claimed ownership of the structure.
Eitan Broshi, a senior aide in the Defense Ministry, confirmed Thursday morning that the meeting took place but added that there will be no compromise on the law. He said the Defense Ministry will act according to the court ruling and advice of Attorney General Menachem Mazuz.
Defense Minister Barak continued to refer to his carrying out the ruling of the High Court by ordering the expulsion of Jews from the Peace House, despite the fact that the decision did not order the removal of Jews from the building, and specifically states only that the government has the option of removing them.
He said that the Arab who sold the building reneged after being threatened with death by the Palestinian Authority although he was filmed receiving $700,000 for the sale.
Former nationalist Knesset Member Geula Cohen said Thursday morning she stayed at the Peace House and most of the youth were disciplined and non-violent. She castigated the media for totally ignoring rock attacks by Arabs but giving detailed coverage of every stone that Jews threw back at the Arabs.
One Jewish youth - Elyasaf Amos ben Nurit - remains in serious condition after suffering severe head wounds from a huge rock that an Arab threw at him Tuesday.

(IsraelNN.com) Defense Minister Ehud Barak and leaders of the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria (Yesha) met on Thursday morning to discuss the controversial Hevron building. It is still not clear whether Barak will agree to let the courts decide before attempting a potentially lethal forced eviction.
Barak appeared at a Pensioners Conference after the meeting, and did not sound conciliatory or compromising. “This building will be evacuated,” he said. “The building will be under IDF and state control until the court decides to whom it belongs.”
Danny Dayan, head of the Yesha Council, admitted that Barak’s statement was “not a good sign.” However, he added, “Let’s wait and see. He heard our proposal, but did not respond. Let’s see.”
The Yesha Council proposes to file a request for the District Court to speed up the process, and asks that Barak agree to delay the eviction until the Court hears the evidence concerning the sale and hands down a ruling.
The previous legal ruling – a Supreme Court decision that the State may evict the Jewish residents before a District Court ruling – did not deal with the actual evidence regarding the sale. The Jewish owners and residents are confident that the evidence, which includes documents as well as audio and video recordings, will prove that the building was bought from the Arab owner fair and square.
Also present at the meeting with Dayan and Barak were former Yesha Council head Pinchas Wallerstein, Mount Hevron Regional Council head Tzviki Bar-Chai, and senior Yesha Council figure Ze’ev Chever, known as Zambish.
Wallerstein said, “I’m not particularly optimistic. Barak’s words are not encouraging, but on the other hand, some of his aides sounded a little better. I can’t say what will happen.”
IsraelNN: “What did Barak say about the fact that the Supreme Court does not ‘require’ him to evict, but rather ‘allows’ him to do so?”
Wallerstein: “He does not accept that interpretation.”
IsraelNN: “But it’s written black on white, that the building ‘can’ be evacuated…”
Wallerstein: “Barak is not willing to allow law-breakers to determine the State’s actions… I don’t think he’s as afraid of having another Amona, or worse, as we think…”
IsraelNN: “What’s the next step?”
Wallerstein: “We don’t know.”
(IsraelNN.com) The Labor Party primaries opened Thursday at noon. The 59,000 members of the party will have the chance to choose Labor’s list of candidates for the next Knesset. Results of the primaries will be announced tonight.
Two days ago Labor attempted to hold the primaries but errors in the voting process pushed them off to today. The party fears that the confusion will lead to a low voter turnout.

The residents were in the middle of eating lunch when the policemen burst in to throw them out. The element of suprise worked totally to the forces' advantage, and they completed the eviction within an hour.
A Channel Two reporter said, "It's impossible to ignore the Palestinians standing around and applauding as they watch these scenes."
Barak Wanted a Clash
MK Aryeh Eldad: "This is a corrupt political spin by a Defense Minister who is willing to risk people's lives for his own political career. He wanted a clash, and he wanted to build a political career on the backs of the settlers."
"To my sorrow," said Danny Dayan, head of the Yesha Council, Ehud Barak decided to cooperate with the hot-headed ones, and not with the calm ones. There are those who wanted a clash, and they got one."
"This is an act of deception and one that is totally irresponsible," Dayan said. "Apparently, when elections come along, all reason is thrown to the winds."
Robbers!
Scenes from outside Beit HaShalom were televised to the country, with a giant picture of Ehud Barak and Supreme Court Chief Justice headlined with the giant word "Robbers."
Channel Two reporter Sarah Beck announced that the Yassam policemen were seen to be without nametags, "a common practice in previous evacuations, in order to prevent the evacuees from suing them." By law, policemen must wear nametags, "and I was present at the Knesset committee session when police representatives promised that the law would be fulfilled."
Beck also said, "I must note that the police are preventing medics from reaching the wounded protestors. I have never seen this in the past."
The Path of Deception and Violence
Orit Strook, a spokesperson for the Hevron Jewish Community, similarly said that the matter could have been settled peacefully, "but Ehud Barak chose the path of deception and violence instead."
The forcible eviction took less than an hour, and policemen were soon in control of the roof and four floors of the building. Youths were soon seen trying to sneak back into the building, and others were reported to be entrenched in the basement until they were finally removed.
Students of Yeshivat Nir in Kiryat Arba tried to cross the valley and climb the hill to get to the building, but most of them were tear-gassed by the soldiers.
Sense of Fury at Betrayal
Hundreds of youths and protestors around the country responded to the perceived government betrayal and theft by blocking intersections and protesting. Police evacuated protestors from roads near Kiryat Arba and the Shomron, and clashes began in the afternoon between protestors and police in Jerusalem as well.
Six people have been arrested in the Jerusalem clashes.
Arabs Throwing Rocks, Police Doing Nothing
Hevron spokesman Noam Arnon said that ambulances were at first not permitted into the area to evacuate victims. He also said that just 100 meters from Peace House, "Arabs are throwing rocks with total abandon, with the police doing nothing to stop them."
(IsraelNN.com) Reports indicate Thursday that some police engaged in the evacuation in Hevron do not have identity tags. This is against the law. The purpose of not having a tag is so that the police cannot be brought to justice for violent actions.
The evacuation of Peace House began at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

(IsraelNN.com) In response to the eviction in Hevron, perceived by many in Hevron and elsewhere as the height of injustice, several nationalist MKs issued angry statements. MK Uri Ariel (Jewish Home) said: "Defense Minister Barak violated all the understandings with him, and he has provided proof that he cannot be trusted."
Shas Party leader Industry and Trade Minister Eli Yishai said, "Barak is trying to resuscitate his dying party by evicting people from their legally-acquired property on the day of the Labor Party primaries."
Rabbi Moshe Levinger, who suffered a stroke several months ago and is still ill - yet made the effort to get up to meet with Barak today - expressed sorrow that Barak had ignored his request. The rabbi said he told Barak that he would meet with the residents and return a response by noon tomorrow - but Barak demanded an answer within two hours.
The Hatikvah party issued this statement: "We condemn the fearful and violent behavior of 'Security' Minister Ehud Barak, who allows Israel's enemies to fire rockets at Israeli soldiers and citizens with no response, and enables the bullies of Bil'in and Naalin to run wild, but shows his great heroism only vis-a-vis Jews.... The situation is reminiscent of the words of Deborah the Prophetess about another Barak: 'The way on which you are walking will not bring you glory.'"
Atty. Yosef Fuchs of the Land of Israel Legal Forum, who is running for the Judea and Samaria spot on the Likud list of candidates, said, "Ehud Barak has once again thwarted negotiations and opted for a path of violence. One who does not know how to hold dialogue is not worthy of being Defense Minister."
Another candidate, Yechiel Leiter, told IsraelNationalRadio's Malkah Fleisher, that the decision to evict the Jews was not judicial but rather political. "If it was a matter of law, then the law must be distributive - i.e, must be applied to all sectors alike. There are thousands of orders against illegal Arab structures that are not being implemented..."
The Likud primaries will be held this Monday.
(IsraelNN.com) MK Aryeh Eldad said to Army Radio Thursday that settlers will return to the Peace House soon. He pointed out that it would take an entire battalion of police or soldiers to prevent activists from returning to the house.
Eldad added that this shows Minister of Defense Ehud Barak carried out the evacuation for political reasons.
(IsraelNN.com) The Yesha Council of Rabbis, representing the Jews of Judea and Samaria, issued a statement Thursday afternoon, criticizing the eviction of Jews from Peace House in Hevron, according to Kol Rina.
According to the statement, "Instead of fighting the Arab enemy which declared a religious war on the Jewish people, and instead of protecting Jews in India, Sderot and Hevron, the government of Israel chooses to persecute the settlers in a cruel and brutal manner and to erase all Jewish signs in the City of the Fathers -Hevron."
They called on the public to come and back up Jewish residents of the area.
(IsraelNN.com) The doors to Peace House in Hevron were welded shut by Israeli security forces Thursday evening to prevent Jewish nationalists from returning to the building following the afternoon's eviction of the house's Jewish residents by government forces, according to Ynet.
A Border Police force is staffing the scene to prevent the nationalists from breaking into the house.
(IsraelNN.com) The IDF Spokesperson's Office announced Thursday evening that it would allow representatives of the evicted residents of Peace House in Hevron to go back and remove belongings left during Thursday afternoon's eviction.
Following earlier requests, a number of family representatives were allowed to return with army escort to remove their belongings.

"There is no question that the courts will rule in our favor regarding the Peace House, because we have proof of purchase beyond all shadow of doubt," said Wilder. "I turn to our Arab neighbors interested in selling their homes and encourage them to contact us. We have solutions to protect Arab homeowners from the capital punishment meted out by the Palestinian Authority to those who sell land to a Jew."
Jewish philanthropist Morris Abraham purchased the Peace House from a local Arab with the Hevron Jewish community facilitating the real estate deal.
Wilder says that the whole Zionist enterprise since the 1800's has been based on purchase of land from Arabs and settlement of Jews therein. "We are simply continuing the peaceful Zionist activity of purchasing properties and gradually returning the land to its original owners," says Wilder. "Nothing will deter us," he concluded.
Whatever your opinions about the house in Hebron that Jews claim to have legally purchased and that the IDF violently evacuated today, one cannot argue that Ha'aretz has been a major factor in inciting the Israeli public against it.

Israel's government today sent the security forces into Beit Shalom in Hebron and forcibly evicted its residents, despite overwhelming evidence that the building was legally purchased from its previous Arab owner.
In a shocking display of ruthlessness, the government has trampled on the property rights of the Jewish owners, tossing to the wind one of the foundations of democracy and civil society.
Make no mistake - this travesty was carried out for purely political motives. The Labor party and Kadima are both sagging in the polls, and fear that parties such as Meretz will steal their thunder and their votes.
Since there is no better way to try and win the hearts and minds of the far-left than by sending in baton-wielding troops to smash up "the settlers", that is what took place today - broadcast live courtesy of Israeli television.
Whatever one thinks of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria, all can and should agree that what happened today in Hebron was an outrage. It was an act of treachery and tyranny by a caretaker government with no mandate and no moral justification.
Shame on those who made the decision - and shame on us, the public, for not raising our voices more loudly to prevent it from happening.
The State of Israel was established as a homeland for the Jewish People.
While the founding fathers were secular Jews, inspired by Biblical Zionism, their attempt to create a secular zionism resulted in the confusion we see today. Ben Gurion certainly wanted to placate the Arabs as well as use them for his political advantage, but he also recognized the absolute necessity to maintain complete Jewish control of the Jewish State. He went so far as to suggest that, should the Arabs refuse to accept the Jewish character of Israel, they will be driven out if necessary.
Today secular zionism has completely fallen apart. The very concept of a Jewish State is being questioned by our own leaders. Not only are our Arab enemies given full citizenship in our country, including membership in our Knesset, but plans are being made by Jewish leaders to cede parts of our homeland in order to create a new Arab enemy state, where Jews will be forbidden to live, within the borders of the Jewish State... for “peace”.
Our government and court system seems to be suffering from national suicidal tendencies. It is taking measures which, under normal circumstances, would guarantee the destruction of the country they are sworn to protect! Any action taken against our enemies is called “racism”. Self-respecting Jews who try to stand up for Jewish rights are labeled “racists” by our own leaders! Yet it is our own government which practices discrimination against her own constituents!
Everyone has heard of the confrontation at Beit HaShalom in Hebron. Jews purchased a building from an Arab and moved in. Despite the fact that this legal transaction took place and that Jewish families are living in the building, because the Arab now claims that he did not sell the building, a claim backed up with no evidence what so ever, the government has decided to forcibly remove the Jewish families.
I wonder how many people have heard of Yitzchak Herskovitz. This elderly Jew bought property in Bet Tzafafa, a Jerusalem suburb, nearly fifteen years ago. When he went to take possession he discovered Arab squatters living there. When they refused to leave Herskovitz took them to court.
Although he is no youngster, he spent his time and lots of money going through the Israeli justice system. After thirteen years of fighting, he proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt, not only that the property is legally his, but that the Arab squatters are not only liars and thieves, but they are not even Israeli citizens and are not legally permitted even to be in Israel!
Herskovitz got court orders, on several occasions, to have the intruders evicted from his property. Every time either the Arabs found a legal loophole to reopen the court case or the police refused to carry out the court order for fear of violence beyond their control. To this day Herskovitz is fighting to gain possession of his property and the Arabs are still living upon it!
If Justice Beinish is so concerned about enforcing the law, why are these Arab criminals not punished, aside from being evicted? If the courts have proved, beyond a shadow of a doubt that these Arab squatters are thieves as well as illegal aliens, why are they still living on Herskovitz’s land? And if there is any reason what so ever to justify their being there, how is it that Jews, living in a legitmately purchased property must be forcibly evicted merely upon the unjustified claim of an Arab whose very life is in danger because he sold a home in Israel to a Jew?
If there is racism in Israel it is on the part of the government of Israel against her own people. The so called “peace” process has brainwashed our leadership into supporting our enemies and undermining loyal Jews! The term “settler” has acquired an evil connotation. The press presents those who are loyal to genuine Zionism as crazy hooligans. They conveniently forget that all of the modern state of Israel was created by “settlers” without which there would be no Jewish State.
The modern leadership of the Jewish State has forgotten the most basic concepts of even secular zionism and is actively working to undo the Jewish character of the Jewish State. With leaders like this we have no need for enemies.
It is truly a shame that we fail to realize the greatness which is destined for our country. Rather than fleeing from that greatness we should be embracing it. Redemption is ready for us, but it would seem that we are not ready for Redemption. Expelling Jews from any part of our homeland is a desecration of our G-d and a rejection of our obligations as Jews. The same is true about our failure to expel our enemies. Our hapless leaders are so busy trying to placate the world, an effort in futility, that they fail to try to placate the Creator of the universe who has performed countless miracles, not only to return Jews to our ancient homeland, but to protect us from our enemies and even our own leaders.
No power on Earth can stop the Biblical process of Redemption. But all those who try to interfere will be punished for their efforts. The future of the Jewish People in all of the Land of Israel is guaranteed by G-d. All but the completely blind can see Divine intervention turn a country, which should have disappeared even before it was reborn, into a truly modern and growing nation which sets standards for the world to emulate. And this in spite of leaders who are working against the process.
Project Shofar is sounding the alarm in an effort to wake up the Jewish people and the world to the G-dly process which has already begun. The murder of innocent Jews in India should remind us that it is not the Jewish State, rather the Jewish People as a whole, which faces the hatred of G-dless people. Those murdered in India were not living in the “occupied territories”. They were murdered simply because they were Jews. We are “a nation that stands alone, not to be reckoned among the nations of the world.” Just as G-d stands with us and protects us, we must stand with G-d and sanctify His Name. When we recognize this fact and turn our complete trust unto the Living G-d of Israel by coming home and standing up to the entire world, we will hasten the Redemption and bring an end to terror. Only thus will we ever find true peace.
