1) Caroline Glick's speech in Shdema on December 19th
2) The anti Jihad conference on December 14th

The message of both events is clear:
Now more than ever we must increase the struggle against Islamic Jihad.

1) Summary of Caroline Glick's speech in Shdema
   Report by Nadia Matar

Tens of people from Jerusalem, Kiryat Arba Hevron, Gush Etzion and even Beersheva, among them many Women in Green, arrived yesterday Friday December 19th to Shdema to hear Caroline Glick's lecture in Hebrew "Israel towards an Obama administration".

Caroline Glick, senior publicist at the Jerusalem Post and Senior Fellow for Middle Eastern Affairs at the Center for Security Policy in Washington fascinated us for almost an hour, analyzing the world situation and explained that the economic crisis affecting the US influences us in Israel as well.

She explained that until today, two diametrically opposed approaches have competed in the conduct of public policy. In the Marxist approach the citizen expects the State to solve all problems and deal with every issue; this approach makes the common man dependent, and the State concentrates all the power and manipulates its citizens.

The second approach which America has championed until today is the capitalistic approach; a policy of freedom, a policy that expects the citizen to seize the initiative, to contribute to the public welfare etc…

This approach also assumes that the American people is unique and has a special destiny in the world.

The reason that Israel and the U.S. are allies is that both believe in these principles, and that the two people have common traits. "Ask not what my country will do for me but what I can do for my country". Just as the Jewish people believes it is chosen, with a special obligation to be a light unto the nations, so too the American people until today, believed it was a chosen people with a special role to play in the world.  The Jewish people and the American people are immigrants who always struggle for freedom and independence, and when that freedom is in danger, were ready to fight for it.

With all our criticism of the Bush administration says Glick, at least the above principals were a guiding light for Bush; it was these principals that led him to a just war in Iraq.

All this is about to change the minute Obama takes power, warns Glick. Obama represents the European approach which endangers individual freedom; an approach that wants to embrace the Islamic world and do everything to appease Moslems.

Glick said that Europe is already in a dangerous process of terrible Islamization. Very few dare to criticize an expansive Islam which champions Jihad and force. She spoke in praise of Geert Wilders, the Dutch parliamentarian who, despite threats to his life, circles the world warning the public against the dangers of Islam; he produced the movie "Fitna", and Glick said that Israel must strengthen him and give him a platform.

Glick ended her words by saying that a difficult time awaits us because of a change in outlook in the American administration, and because Israel remains isolated in the international arena. Added to this is the difficult economic situation in the world, something that always intensifies anti-Semitism.

If we really seek life and freedom, we musty join forces with those in Europe and America who believe in our principles and together struggle with determination against our enemies. This means active struggle for our land, demonstrating, protesting, above all not remaining silent.

Caroline ended by saying that now it is more important than ever to fight for every part of the land of Israel and said that she is very moved to be in Shdema, an army camp abandoned by a government that lost its will for freedom and for struggle. Thanks to the efforts of activists we have returned to Shdema and with G-d's help we'll keep it, she said. She pointed out that her message is depressing not because she is herself depressed but because the situation is such. The activists of the committee for a Jewish Shdema told her that her message was rather challenging and gave them strength to continue and intensify their activities for Eretz Yisrael and for the restoration of patriotism to our people.

2) Conference "FACING JIHAD"

On 14.12.08 a number of Women in Green went to this excellent conference, "FACING JIHAD", organized and arranged by MK Prof. Arieh Eldad. [Hatikva Party]. The conference, held in English at the Begin Heritage Centre in Jerusalem, was called to educate Israelis, the media - and via the Internet - as many others as possible about the real nature of the so-called Israel/Palestine conflict.

The speakers were from Israel and overseas and each an expert in their field. The standard of lecture was very high indeed and it was clearly shown that this conflict is NOTHING TO DO with territory, but rather about Islam's commitment to world domination - and their powerful ideology which exalts the global disease of Jihad and a totalitarian, state enforced Islam.

Ithamar Marcus of the Palestinian Media Watch gave a video presentation of the way the Palestinian media - largely funded by Europe - presents a violent and dangerous message - even to its youngest viewers.

Prof. Shlomo Sharan of Tel Aviv University included a shocking a review of the Israeli public school system. Since the early 1990s the school curriculum has been almost totally hijacked by the Left. There is now almost no Jewish history, literature or poetry included. Photos of Israel's founders are all but omitted and some 15 pages of the text books concern only the 'peace process' No wonder our country is in a mess and we have no real leaders!

Dr. David Bukay from Haifa University showed how the mania for 'multiculturism' in Israel as well as Europe, has meant that all cultures and religions are considered equal and we must submit to the strongest - in
our time Militaristic Islam. Using Koranic texts he showed how the whole Islamic ideology exalts violence, wanton destruction, and the total denial of civil rights in their war to claim the whole world for themselves.

Prof. John Lewis from Duke University demonstrated how Islamic Totalitarianism can only be defeated by a proper policy. He was clear that a first step is to identify the threat of Militant Islam and that to fail to do so was both dangerous and delusional. He gave a good example of how the USA achieved this after the 2nd World War with their uprooting of militaristic, nationalistic Shintoism in Japan.

The surprise speaker was Simon Deng, a Christian Sudanese who was the appalling victim of Islamic genocide in Sudan. Deng was himself 'given' as slave to a Muslim, Arab family and finally escaped to Israel and is now working as a Human Rights Activist - with the clear message that State Islam has no human rights.

MP [Holland] Geert Wilders was the most highly advertised speaker of the day and he spoke after the showing of his short film FITNA ['ordeal' in Arabic]. FITNA takes the Koranic verses on one side of the screen and shows their 'fulfillment' on the other. Thus we have a film showing all too clearly what the real program of Islam, Jihad, domination etc really means. Of course the Arab world has screamed about the film, but worse, the 'west' has accused Wilders of being a fascist, islamophobic and more. He has been under serious Police protection ever since he began his exposure of militant Islam - even before the making of FITNA. Even MK Prof. Arieh Eldad has come under the same abuse since he invited Geert Wilders to screen the film and speak at the conference.

The day ended with a Press Conference and it was shocking to see how even some of the local media could not grasp the seriousness of the issues that had been discussed during the day.
