http://www.thememriblog.org/blog_personal/en/12619.htm
In his weekly sermon, Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Muhammad Mahdi 'Akef called to launch jihad for the Palestinians in Gaza in any way possible: military warfare, popular resistance groups, donations of blood and money, and comprehensive boycott. He said that this fateful moment of the battle against Zionism is the time for jihad to its maximum degree, and that this is incumbent upon everyone. In an interview with the London daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi, 'Akef said that Israel's operation in Gaza was planned and coordinated with Egypt, Palestine, the U.S., and Israel, and that all of them had agreed with the Zionist-U.S. agenda to assassinate the heads of the Palestinian resistance.

*Saudi FM: If The 'Tahdiya' Had Continued, We Wouldn't Be In This Situation
http://www.thememriblog.org/blog_personal/en/12613.htm
Replying to a question following the meetings of Arab foreign ministers on December 31, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal hinted at Hamas when he said that continuing the tahdiya would have prevented the current situation. In response to calls on Egypt and Saudi Arabia to act against the aggression in Gaza, Al-Faisal said that Arab leaders were not adventurists, and would not enter into a battle without determining its nature, but that they would be the first to defend the interests of their peoples at the proper time. He called for convening the Supreme Council for Defense of the Arab countries to design an integrated defense program that would protect the Arabs from adventurism that has become a disaster for the Arab world because of the haste for entering into battles without preparation.

http://www.thememriblog.org/blog_personal/en/12582.htm

In his view, before the Israeli operation began the Palestinians could have obtained more in exchange for extending the tahdiya – perhaps even Israeli agreement to opening the Rafah crossing – while today they are forced to settle for a ceasefire.

In a speech to the Egyptian people, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak demanded that Israel immediately halt its offensive in Gaza, telling Israel's leaders: "Your bloodstained hands arouse rage and distance hopes of peace." He said that Egypt would not open the Rafah crossing so as not to fall into Israel's trap, since Israel is striving to expand the rift between the West Bank and Gaza. Mubarak added that "Egypt would not permit anyone to gain political profit and to increase his influence [in the region] at the expense of Palestinian blood." To the Palestinians, he said, "We warned you... that your refusing a tahdiya would push Israel to attack Gaza, and we stressed that thwarting Egypt's efforts to extend the tahdiya would invite an Israeli attack."

His blog reads: "Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas is pleading like a lost lamb with the international fraternity and asking for mercy, while Israeli air strikes continue to kill at will ruthlessly."
“Nukes, missiles, atomic warheads and a strong army with tough stance are what are required in the face of enemy like Israel and India," the former army officer writes.
Commenting on the Indian response after the Mumbai attacks, he asked: "Why is India taking so long to attack Pakistan and why is India talking about possible surgical attacks and not about full blown war?"
His own answer: "Just because of our nuclear assets, missile technology, strong army, and solid ISI."

*Cleric: The Fatwa To Kill Jews Everywhere Is Against The Spirit Of Islam
http://www.thememriblog.org/urdupashtu/blog_personal/en/12566.htm
Mufti Munibur Rahman, the head of Tanzeem-ul-Madaris Ahle Sunnat Pakistan, has described as against the spirit of Islam a fatwa that called for killing Jews everywhere and targeting their assets. Tanzeem-ul-Madaris Ahle Sunnat Pakistan is an organization of Sunni madrassas in Pakistan. Rahman added that the Israeli attacks on Gaza are not merely condemnable but also a cause for worldwide anger against Israel.
Following the Israeli attacks on Gaza, a Saudi cleric had called for Jews to be killed everywhere. Rahman however noted: "The declaration of a fatwa that Jews be attacked once you see them is against the spirit of the Koran and the Sunnah [the deeds and sayings of Prophet Muhammad].... because... [the Jews] are the people of the book and issues involving them are different when compared with other infidels."
Rahman added further: "The root of the conflict is Zionism, not Judaism. Zionism is an extremism that is out to destroy Muslims and followers of other religions in order to protect the Jewish interests..."
