If the BNP react to criticism like this when they're a tiny sect, how would they behave if they had power?
I wonder why we have suddenly got all these BNP supporters commenting here, if 'commenting' is the right word for these repetitive and defensive plaints. It couldn't possibly be organised in some way, could it? The very idea.
Well, I couldn't possibly comment. But may I, quite openly, encourage our more civilised contributors, who would have no dealings with this organisation, to contribute in numbers to repudiate it?  Some sort of fumigation is necessary.
As for the BNP supporters, not a single one of them deals with the problem, of the BNP's unaltered constitution based on unreasoning racial bigotry, and its unpurged roots among covens of Judophobic Hitler-lovers.
Nor do they answer the point that its 'policies' , without coherence or detail, are adopted for purely populist reasons, or that people of this kind could not under any circumstances be trusted with liberty of speech and thought. The tone of voice in many of these messages gives a pretty strong clue to that. Be with us, or else.
Many of these blog tourists from BNP-land swiftly establish that they are not normally visitors to this site, by claiming that I do not attack the EU, or the Labour Party, or the Civil Contingencies Act (which the BNP probably wouldn't have heard of if I hadn't sounded the alarm over it in this column), or bodies such as the Black Police Association, or that I am somehow unconcerned about the growth of Islam here. They've obviously never been here before and don't care what I think or say. They've just all (telepathically?) suddenly felt a need to attack me, because I am uncomplimentary about their squalid grouplet. The nerve of it.
Instead I'm ludicrously accused of being prevented from identifying with the BNP because I'm afraid I would be sacked if I did, as if there were no other reason why anyone would prefer to keep clear of this noisome organisation.
Or I'm told that I'm somehow writing under orders. Prove it, if you can, or withdraw and apologise. Bet they do neither. I'm even (no surprise here) informed I'm Jewish - a piece of information which would be irrelevant to our discussion if the BNP were what its naive supporters imagine it to be, rather than what it really is.
But of course the BNP hard-core know perfectly well why that subject has been raised. Normal people aren't interested in such things. In fact I'm about as Jewish as a bacon sandwich in my life and religious practice and, though I am pleased to have some Jewish forebears and will don a Yellow Star with pride if such times come round again, even the Third Reich's nose-inspectors and ancestry police would not have been able to classify me as worthy of extermination. You see, however, how quickly you get to the real point when you deal with such organisations. They just can't keep that old right arm down.
