'Less than two years after vowing to end homelessness in Massachusetts, the Patrick administration has proposed new regulations that it acknowledges could force hundreds of homeless families back on the street. The regulations, scheduled to take effect April 1, would deny shelter to families who in the last three years had been evicted from or had abandoned public or subsidized housing without good cause, and to those who fail to meet a new 30-hour per week work requirement and save 30 percent of their income.' MI5 now boasts it has ended its counter-subversion work altogether, having other jihadist fish to fry (it will have soon doubled its staffing and budget on the back of the 9/11 backlash). Whether those claims should be taken at face value must be open to question. What a load of pure, unadulterated garbage. But apart from the sheer anger all this causes with ordinary people - and it does - what a waste of money! The question I am asked, time and time again is - where does all this political correctness come from and how did we allow it to seep into every aspect of our lives? Particularly when "1984" and "Brave New World" are there to warn us all about the control freaks.'
