WHAT ISRAEL'S RIGHT KNOWS
by David Basch

"Right wing leaders like Netanyahu omit to teach
the truth, that the leftist appeasement policies brought
Arafat and his terrorist army into the heart of Israel and
destroyed Israel's rock solid southern defense perimeter
... and gave the enemy free reign in building a military
base that reaches deep into Israel...."

It is a Persian proverb that "he who knows and knows not that he knows
is asleep." The Israeli right wing should wake up. They know something
about Israel's situation in the Middle East that leftist obsessions
make the left blind to. The right knows that Israel survives in the
Middle East because of her strength. They know that the Arabs do not
have a willing peace to give Israel and must at all times be forced to
do so if peace is to exist. It is time that the right made this clear
to the Israeli public and to the world, showing clearly that the
Israeli leftists, lusting for power, are delusionary about Israel's
situation.

How does the leftist lust for power translate into blindness about the
grave danger of the Arabs to Israel?

The answer is deceptively simple. The leftist peace rhetoric appeals
to the obsessed Universalist ideologues among Israelis -- the mentally
perverted leftist radicals and the idealistic, though ignorant youth
that thinks that such dreams are reality. It also appeals to those
Israelis that are under the control of a Stockholm Syndrome, in which
the deep fears of this group for the violent aspect of the Arabs turns
them into believers and supporters of views of the Arabs and of
appeasement policies to win Arab hearts. And then, we must not also
forget that this peace rhetoric is a tool of Israel's so-called allies
that wish to appease the leaders of Muslim countries since it can be
used as arguments to have Israel give up strategic territory and
strengthen Muslim forces working to destroy the Jewish state.

The result is that -- hearing all this peace rhetoric coming from so
many quarters, including the sing song of the CIA, NSA sponsored
peace groups like Pieces Now and Be'tzel Chelm -- this peace rhetoric
leads to the strengthening of the Israeli election block of leftists.

Unfortunately, so superficially persuasive is this rhetoric coming
also from movie stars, rock stars, beauty queens, and classy political
leaders like Tony Blair -- who are paid off to act in the interests of
big Arab oil money -- that it even clouds the minds of some right wing
leaders like Netanyahu, who dream that they can ride this peace train
into massive support in Israeli elections.

As a result, right wing leaders like Netanyahu omit to teach Israelis
the truth, that the leftist appeasement policies brought Arafat and
his terrorist army into the heart of Israel and destroyed Israel's
rock solid southern defense perimeter when Israelis were ethnically
cleansed from their homes in Gaza and the enemy given free reign to
build a military base that reaches deep into the heart of Israel.

When one looks back at these self-destructive
acts of the leftists -- some supported by Netanyahu -- it is a dismal
record that should constantly be brought forward to the Israeli public
in order to strip away the left's support from the merely ignorant.
Simultaneously, strong policies to bolster Israeli defense perimeters
and mercilessly wipe out Arab terrorist centers will begin to chip
away the leftist support of those who have succumbed to their
Stockholm Syndromes. The latter troubled persons will stop having
their nightmares of an Arab terrorist under every Israeli bed and
be psychologically driven to identify with and support Arab aims
-- too many Israelis have succumbed to this sickness -- and will once
again have confidence that Israel can save herself and them through
her own powerful right arm.

The reason that the leftist block is not disappearing more rapidly
than it is is that right wing leaders like Netanyahu believe that by
adopting the peace rhetoric and policies they can extend their
leadership scope into the leftist camp. But this is futile and
self-destructive since it leads to creating the illusion that there is
some truth to the fact that Israel robs the Arabs of their lands and
that the reason there is no peace is because it is Israel that is the
part that is unreasonable. In fact, right up to the last weeks of the
election campaign Netanyahu tried that same gambit and was probably
astonished to learn that this move to the left lost him the edge in
the election by sending his supporters further right as protection
against this kind of Netanyahu, so remeniscent of the Netanyahu that
surrendered Hebron to the terrorists.

If Israel is to be internally strengthened, it is time that a right
wing block awoke to the rightness of its cause against a Muslim-Arab
world whose first priority is Israel's destruction. This must lead the
right wing to strengthen Israeli institutions. It must lead to
changing a supreme court system that has become a dictatorial power in
itself, shooting from the hip with its self-styled, arbitrary,
Universalist policies that are more relevant for life on Mars and not
for an Israel besieged by deadly enemies internally and externally,
and weakening Israel's ability to deal with the realities she faces.
It must also lead to strengthening the Israeli educational system to
teach Israeli youth about the rightness of the Jewish claim to Israel,
religiously and politically, the latter emanating from the
League of
Nations
' Mandate of Palestine that set aside these lands for the
Jewish people for a homeland, having already set up a half a dozen
Arab states from the breakup of the Ottoman Empire.

The result will be that when fake, phony frauds, like Bush, who in an
attempt to appease savage Arab allies, unilaterally assert that Israel
"occupies" Arab territory, the resounding response from Israel's
people and allies will be to recognize these Bush-ians for the
appeasers they are. Similarly, when the public is truly educated that
the Israeli media is dominated by outside (and inside) anti-Israel
powers, the public will be less in thrall to these treasonous voices
and recognize them as the organs of propaganda they are.

Israelis must be instructed that they face a rerun of what occurred to
Czechoslovakia, a small, key country that was resisting Hitler's
dangerous expansionism. What occurred to this small country was that
the western allies came under the spell of Hitler's rhetoric for peace
and signed the death warrant of Czechoslovakia by having it surrender
strategic territory, a surrender accepted by some of the very citizens
of Czechoslovakia that lived to regret it along with the world that
saw Hitler's rise to great power. Do Israelis imagine that they will
long survive their being crushed by the Arab powers that the Israeli
leftists insist on appeasing and strengthening?

As Israel's victory in 1967 taught, success wins friends and defeat
and powerlessness drives such friends away. Hence the leftist
defeatist policies of Livni and Barak that would transform Israel's
eastern territories into Gazas are altogether suicidal for Israel and
the leftist parties that embrace such surrender are clearly delusionary
or altogether treasonous and must be avoided like the plague to
Israel's survival that they are.

Netanyahu has a second chance opportunity to save the future of
Israel. An aware Israeli right-wing public that knows what it knows
can help to make this needed rescue possible
