in favour of the Lisbon Treaty, James Downey admitted: "The antis are 
right about one thing, if one thing only. Any guarantees we may get

Norwegian Opposition To Joining EU At 54.9% - Poll
OSLO (Dow Jones)--Nearly 55% of Norwegians remain opposed to joining 
the European Union, a poll carried out by Sentio,
33% were in favour.  Heming Olaussen, an advocate against EU 
membership for Norway says that "neither the financial crisis nor 
Iceland's alleged interest in EU. membership seemed to have moved

The News of the World reported that a new poll commissioned by Gordon 
Brown has suggested that the BNP could capture seven seats in the 
European Parliament elections in June, making them eligible for EU

G20 protestors 'will have the public's sympathy'
People would 'sympathise' with 'hard-line' protestors planning to 
demonstrate at the G20 summit next month. foreign offoce minisdter, 
Lord Malloch Brown said yesterday.  ---- "there was enough anger out 
there amongst all of us who are watching what's happening out there 
on 'bankers' salaries'.   [His government has been in charge and 
failed to carry out proper regulatory procedures -cs]

Steer clear of Falklands. Brown told
The prime minister has been urged not to discuss the sovereignty of 
the Falkland Islands with the president of Argentina when they meet 
this week.  Gordon Brown will meet Cristina  Kirchner at a forum of 
left-of-centre leaders in Chile.

Conservative foreign affairs spokesman, David Lidington said: "The 
Prime Minister must make it very clear that the democratic rights of
