South Africa: Why White farms must be destroyed - Govt to take over unused farms not used by Blacks
Date Posted: Friday 06-Mar-2009[South Africa is walking down the same path as Zimbabwe. In Zimbabwe Mugabe seized farms from Whites and gave them to Blacks, most of whom did not do anything on them. Mugabe seized large numbers of these farms back from the Blacks (by which time they're already largely destroyed). And he gave them to other Blacks. And did it all help? Look at Zimbabwe. Half the population has fled from the country and of those remaining MOST are now being fed by the United Nations World Food program. In the end, the redistribution of farms was a huge failure - in terms of agricultural production. But in terms of destroying the White presence and in terms of preventing Whites from making money out of farms it was a HUGE SUCCESS! Mugabe hated the fact that the White Farmers were giving large amounts of money to the opposition and that is the real reason he destroyed them in this way, even though everyone thereafter starves. In South Africa the rationale behind it is no different. It is NOT about helping the blacks or feeding the country or creating jobs - even though officially that is the excuse. IT IS ABOUT DESTROYING THE PRESENCE OF WHITES AND THE MONEY THE WHITES MAKE OUT OF FARMING AND THE THREAT WHICH THOSE WHITES COULD LATER POSE TO THE STATE. Remember the Boers of South Africa once fought the entire British Empire. The current Govt doesn't want them to be a force to be reckoned with again.
They need to destroy the White control of land and all the opportunity that comes with it because it is a threat to the state. Already, the Afrikaner dominated Freedom Front is starting to back the new opposition party called COPE. The current support of the Freedom Front for a coalition with COPE and other parties is going to be a major motivating factor as to why "Land Reform" (which is the propaganda smokescreen under which they operate) will have to be "speeded up". Rest assured, the rate at which White dominated agriculture will have to be destroyed will have to be speeded up as of this year. Jan]

Pretoria - South Africa's government will take over farms that were allocated to black people under a land redistribution programme but are not being productively used, Agriculture Minister Lulu Xingwana said on Wednesday.
"I have ... instructed my directors general to, with immediate effect, implement the principle of use it or lose it," Xingwana told a media briefing.
"Therefore, those who do not use the land must immediately be removed and the land must be given to emerging farmers and cooperatives...," she said.
After the first democratic elections in 1994, the ANC-led government set itself a target of handing 30% of all agricultural land to the black majority by 2014.
Under a restitution programme, land was returned to black communities who claimed it was taken from them before the end of apartheid, but much of the land has not been used for farming and has laid idle for years.
"The restitution programme has reached 95% completion. The 5% that is outstanding involves claims (on properties owned by) the mines, huge forestry projects and also claims that involve conservation areas," Xingwana said.
