Tom Gross’s MidEast Dispatch is always a treasure trove of nuggets about the Middle East. His latest Dispatch, however, surpasses itself in the number of revelations he has managed to dig up about the west’s principled, honest, decent and unprejudiced media class.

There’s Hollywood actress Roseanne Barr informing readers of her blog that the rockets being fired from Gaza into Israel by Hamas and Islamic Jihad are actually being fired by Israeli forces;

There’s the BBC’s elliptical-to the-point-of-meaninglessness  footnote correction to the story it broadcast on dozens of occasions round the world during Israel’s Gaza operation that ‘40 Palestinian civilians sheltering at the Fakhura school in Jabaliya’ had been killed by Israeli shells – a correction that somehow failed to state that nine Palestinians died, not 40; that none was at the school; that seven of the nine killed were...
