American Hostages Abandoned and Ignored

An American hostage in Iran has reportedly gone on a hunger strike. Click here for the story.

At the same time, two American hostages in North Korea are in serious danger. Click herefor an update.

The nuclear tag team partners are clearly using the Americans as bargaining chips. But the media seems disinterested, even though all three hostages are journalists.

North Korea Has Deployed Nuclear Warheads

North Korea, which has restarted its nuclear facilities, has also deployed nuclear warheads at hardened underground missile facilities, according to intelligence experts and China Confidential analysts.

In fact, analysts say the North deployed its warheads ahead of its recent, long-range rocket test.

While there is debate over the Stalinist/Kimist state's ability to place a warhead atop a Taepodong-2 missle--capable of hitting Hawaii and Alaska--such as the one the North shot over Japan on April 3, there is a consensus that North Korea can use its medium-range rockets for nuclear attacks. The rogue nation--a Chinese vassal--has more than 300 Rodong missiles. The Rodongs, with an estimated range of 1,300km, can be launched from mobile transporters anywhere in North Korea.

In other words, North Korea is now a full-blown nuclear power, capable of obliterating cities and U.S. military bases in Japan and South Korea. China, which provides Pyongyang with most of its food, fuel, and arms, has allowed and, analysts would argue, even encouraged this to happen. The American strategy of relying on China to moderate North Korea, which the Bush administration adopted, has completely failed.

The diplomacy that failed to stop North Korea will also fail--utterly--stop its Islamist ally and partner in nuclear/missile crime, Iran, from becoming a nuclear power. The Obama administration, however, is nevertheless pursuing a policy of appeasement toward both countries.
