Islamic State of Iraq War Minister: 'The Mujahideen Today Are in Great Need of Chemical, Biological and... Even Nuclear Weapons... To Defend What They Have Achieved and What They Will Achieve'

On April 21, 2009, Islamist websites posted an audio interview with Islamic State of Iraq War Minister Abu Hamza Al-Muhajir, conducted by Al-Furqan, the ISI media company.

The interview is an attempt by ISI to regain the influence it has lost in Iraq since the dawn of the Awakening Councils, and to reposition itself as an important jihad entity in Iraq before U.S. forces withdraw and the Iraqi government, which is largely Shiite, takes over.
