in this and many other documents. Where the analysis goes astray is that
Robert Schuman, a major resistance figure was French Prime Minister in
1947-8 and I imagine would have seen and discussed the Red House report
from Strasbourg and all other intelligence reports of this type. Schuman
was a Lorrainer. The European Coal and Steel Community was set up in 1950
with the specific aim to crush the aim of the neo-Nazis and the cartels
groups in Germany. It was successful -- as can be shown that there was
German-led war in 1970s. Abs and others gained power but were sidelined and
not allowed to become part of the anti-cartel High Authority. The DDR used
to publish books about where the former Nazis were again in power.
Some of the Americans, such as McCloy had connections with US finance
circle who had made a fortune out of prewar German industries. I am not
sure that they wished to see anything other than a revival of German
industry to counter the Soviet Communist threat in the Cold War. I have yet
to see any evidence of a plot with the Nazis, though he was instrumental in
letting Krupp and other unsavoury characters out of prison.
The work of a historian is different from that of a novelist. Also the
public knows very little about the real problems of neo-Nazis nowadays.
Much is still in the archives. Many people assume there was no problem
because the main plots failed. The reverse is true.
Nazism and the EU have some very disturbing parallels.

This is not true
The origins of the EU date back to 1919-1939, via Jean Monnet, Arthur Salter, Spaak, Spinetti, to name a few.

All I am saying is that the EU was being planned long before 1939-1945.
