David Cameron Married into the Elite Astor Family
He's just an ordinary guy!
'Born Samantha Gwendoline Sheffield, she is the eldest daughter of Sir Reginald Adrian Berkley Sheffield, 8th Baronet, a landowner and three times a descendant from King Charles ll of England, by his first marriage to Annabel Lucy Veronica Jones. Samantha's parents split up after five years of marriage and her mother married again, to William Astor, 4th Viscount Astor, a minister in John Majors's government, and she is now the Viscountess Astor.
On the other hand David Cameron's father's family had a very long history in the world of finance: David Cameron's great-grandfather Arthur Francis Levita of Panmure Gordon stockbrokers and his great-great-grandfather Sir Ewen Cameron, London head of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank played key roles in discussions led by the Rothschilds with the Japanese central banker (later Prime Minister) Takahashi Korekiyo concerning the selling of war bonds during the Russo-Japanese war.
His great-grandfather Ewen Allan Cameron, a senior partner with Panmure Gordon stockbrokers was also a notable figure in the financial world serving on the Council for Foreign Bondholders and the Committee for Chinese Bondholders set up by the then Governor of The Bank of England Montagu Norman in November, 1935.
Microchipping your Money
'In a nondescript manufacturing plant on a quiet San Fernando cul-de-sac, a khaki-green machine the size of two pool tables end to end sucks in bright pink ribbon and spits out one of the hottest fashions in theme parks. Here, in the northern stretches of suburban Los Angeles, the private company that began producing plastic hospital wristbands out of a Burbank garage more than 50 years ago has become the nation’s top producer of a new microchip-enhanced wristband for amusement parks, concerts, resorts and gyms.
The wristbands use the same technology as electronic toll booths, security key cards and the newest U.S. passports. But at Precision Dynamics Corp., this sophisticated electronic know-how has found its niche at theme parks, where the high-tech wristbands act as high-security admission passes, cashless debit cards, hotel room keys and a form of identification to reunite lost children with parents.'
Government Experiments on U.S. Soldiers: Shocking Claims Come to Light in New Court Case
'Their stories are a staple of conspiracy culture: broken men, suffering hallucinations and near-total amnesia, who say they are victims of secret government mind-control experiments. Think Liev Schreiber in The Manchurian Candidate or Mel Gibson in Conspiracy Theory. Journalists are a favorite target for the paranoid delusions of this population. So is Gordon Erspamer—and the San Francisco lawyer's latest case isn't helping him to fend off the tinfoil-hat crowd.
He has filed suit against the CIA and the US Army on behalf of the Vietnam Veterans of America and six former American soldiers who claim they are the real thing: survivors of classified government tests conducted at the Army's Edgewood Arsenal in Maryland between 1950 and 1975. "I get a lot of calls," he says. "There are a lot of crazy people out there who think that somebody from Mars is controlling their behavior via radio waves." But when it comes to Edgewood, "I'm finding that more and more of those stories are true!" '
Employer's Gold, Silver Payroll Standard May Bring Hard Time
'Robert Kahre, who owns numerous construction businesses in Las Vegas, is standing trial on 57 counts of income tax evasion, tax fraud and criminal conspiracy. If convicted on most counts, he could live out his life in prison. But attorney William Cohan paints Kahre as an American "hero" who believes his payroll system helped keep the U.S. monetary system sound, and was also a form of legal tax avoidance.
A self-made entrepreneur, Kahre, 48, paid his workers in gold and silver coin, and said they could go by the coins' face value -- rather than the much higher market value of their precious metal content -- for federal tax purposes. He did not withhold taxes from their wages, and he provided the same payroll system to 35 outside clients, which were other local businesses.'
France Opens Persian Gulf Base Amid Israeli Regional War Threat
'French President Nicolas Sarkozy has inaugurated the country's first military base in the Persian Gulf close to the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Sarkozy opened the 500-man military base in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. The facility is to house navy, army, and air force personnel.
The French presence is said to be aimed at providing only 'support and training' and not taking part in actual military operations unless the Persian Gulf state is attacked.'
