Obama's Real Numbers - A Record $1.8 Trillion Deficit
The actual numbers ( as opposed to the PR) have finally come out on President Obama's ridiculous budget, and they aren't pretty:The government will have to borrow nearly 50 cents for every dollar it spends this year, exploding the record federal deficit past $1.8 trillion under new White House estimates.
Budget office figures released Monday would add $89 billion to the 2009 red ink -- increasing it to more than four times last year's all-time high as the government hands out billions more than expected for people who have lost jobs and takes in less tax revenue from people and companies making less money.
The unprecedented deficit figures flow from the deep recession, the Wall Street bailout and the cost of President Barack Obama's economic stimulus bill -- as well as a seemingly embedded structural imbalance between what the government spends and what it takes in.
In the meantime the economy under President Obama continues to hemmorage jobs, with unemployment in April rising to 8.9 percent, the highest in 25 years. The only sectors of the economy showing any growth at all are government and health care.
I also don't buy the fact that Obama inherited this mess. After all, he ran on the basis that he supposedly could fix it - when in actuality, he's made it worse. As I predicted, the so-called stimulus bill wasn't going to provide any major number jobs for years. Meanwhile, the money's changing hands with little or no oversight or accounting.
Another interesting thing to consider is where these deficit funds are going to come from. The answer's aimple - we'll simply print it.
Bernie Madoff, of course, was put behind bars for doing substantially the same thing. If he had the Obama Administration's ability to just crank up the presses and issue a trillion or so dollars, he'd have never spent a day in jail.

'Comedienne' Wishes Rush Limbaugh Dead, As Obama Laughs About It
The scene of this 'humor' was the White House Correspondent's dinner in Washington DC. Only it wasn't humor by the furthest stretch of the imagination but a hate filled and disgusting diatribe.
Here's what she had to say:
"Rush Limbaugh said he hopes this administration fails, so you're saying, 'I hope America fails', you're, like, 'I don't care about people losing their homes, their jobs, our soldiers in Iraq'. He just wants the country to fail. To me, that's treason...
He's not saying anything differently than what Osama bin Laden is saying. You know, you might want to look into this, sir, because I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker. But he was just so strung out on OxyContin he missed his flight."
She then finished up by saying: "Rush Limbaugh, I hope the country fails, I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a good waterboarding, that's what he needs." Obama thought this bit was pretty hilarious, grinning and chuckling and turning to share the "joke" with the person sitting on his right.
There was also a tasteless gibe about Sarah Palin's daughter I won't dignify by repeating.
So, for the crime of wanting Obama's socialist policies to fail Limbaugh is vilified as a
terrorist and a traitor, who ought to be tortured...along with wishes for his imminent death, while the current occupant of the White House has a good time listening to this and yukking it up.
I seem to remember something in Obama's inaugural about a new era of civility in Washington, quoting the Bible that it was "time to put away childish things". Of course, like almost everything else that's come out of Elmer-Gantry-With-A-Tan's mouth, that turned out to be pure horse manure.
The White House Correspondent's dinner is historically a 'roast' for the president, a time to satirize and poke fun at the chief executive.Barack Hussein Obama is the only one in history to use it as a forum for D-list `comics' to attack his political enemies. That says a great deal about the man's basic character - or rather, the lack of it.
There's a positive side to this, however. Limbaugh's audience probably tripled, as curious people tuned in for the first time to see what he'd say about being accused of being a terrorist and a traitor who ought to be tortured and die, while the president of the United States laughed about it.
Limbaugh didn't deign to address it in the first hour of his show today, but anyone who was listening heard him at his best...and many of them will be back for more.
