Togo Prime Minister Visits Israel
Togo's Prime Minister Gilbert Houngbo met with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon last Thursday during an official visit to Israel.
Houngbo and Ayalon, Israel's former ambassador to the United States, signed a bilateral declaration regarding economic, educational and agricultural cooperation, and the provision of an aid package by the MASHAV Center for International Cooperation.
Togo's Prime Minister invited entrepreneurs from the private sector to meet with representatives of his government in order to examine opportunities for future cooperation.
The Togolese officials attended Agritech 2009, Israel's 17th annual agricultural exhibition exhibition, which was also attended by representatives of companies and government agencies across Asia, including China, India, and Vietnam.
