Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, which the Obama administration has sought to engage, has a significant armed wing--thousands of trained fighters.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has armed and financed the Brotherhood with the intention of using it to strengthen Hezbollah in Lebanon.

U.S. President Barack Obama was not silent about the Iranian uprising for any good reason. He was silent because the post-election protests upset his perfidious policy of appeasing and aligning with the nuclear-arming, Islamist regime.
Obama's dirty little secret is that he entered office committed to siding with Islamism, except for Al Qaeda and unreconcilable elements of the Taliban. Hence, Obama's support for Turkey's crypto-Islamist government and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Hence, too, his sickening speech in Cairo, which was laced with Islamist lies and myths.
The events in Iran are miraculous. After 30 years of oppression and indoctrination, tens of thousands of ordinary people are risking their lives and going into the streets.

An overthrow of Tehran's turbaned tyranny would disrupt the administration's entire Middle East policy. Hence, President Obama's perfidious silence in the face of the most significant political unrest in Iran since the 1979 Islamist revolution (which was assisted by the catastrophic Carter administration), and his carefully calibrated support for "peaceful" protest only.
The Islamists need not worry about U.S. meddling. The United States, as Vice President Biden recently put it, is "out of the regime changing business." If any regular army officers are ready to risk and, if need be, to sacrifice their lives to liberate their oppressed Iranian brothers and sisters, they will receive no help--not even any words of encouragement or moral support--from Washington. On the contrary; the White House would surely speak out--for the mass-murdering mullahs--should they themselves become the victims of revolutionary firing squads.
The world is watching, alright....
Just as the American cargo ship captain was rescued from Islamist-backed Muslim pirates in spite and not because of Obama, the Iranian people will win their freedom in spite and not because of the elected official who is supposed to be the leader of the free world.

North Korea remains defiant in the face of new United Nations sanctions as the Stalinist/Kimist state prepares for new nuclear and missile tests and a confrontation at sea.
AFP reports:North Korea said Saturday UN sanctions would not work on the communist state but only harden its will to build up its military.
Rodong Sinmun, the official daily of the North's ruling communist party, said the sanctions would not hurt the country which has a "self-reliant economy," warning the moves would meet unspecified retaliatory steps.
"It is ridiculous and contemptible for enemy forces to clamour for toughening sanctions and blockade against us," the daily said.
"This would not even hurt a hair of the people who have been living a self-sustaining life, living with their own means on their own land," it said.
North Korea would respond to "rifle shots with gun shots, gun shots with missiles and nuclear weapons with nuclear weapons."
"Our determination to strengthen our self-defensive military power hundreds of thousand folds is becoming firmer day after day," it said in a lengthy commentary titled "The nature of the Korean people."

Don't listen to the Islamist sympathizers in the West. They are craven cowards, enemies of freedom.
The clerical fascists in Iran--the Revolutionary Guards, the Basij, the armed plainclothesman--are trying to crush the uprising, using chemical weapons and scalding water dropped from helicopters, among other tactics. Innocent people are being beaten and killed. Injured demonstrators are being arrested--and beaten--in hospital beds.
