North Korea Warns Nuclear War Clouds Gathering

The Times of India reports:

North Korea warned on Thursday that "dark clouds of nuclear war" are gathering over the peninsula and vowed to strengthen its atomic arsenal as it marked the anniversary of the 1950-1953 conflict.

Rodong Sinmun, newspaper of the ruling communist party, accused the United States and its ally South Korea of trying to provoke a new war with a bolstered US nuclear "umbrella" over the South.

"A touch-and-go situation has been created on the Korean peninsula...with dark clouds of a nuclear war gathering as the hours tick by," it said in a lengthy commentary marking the anniversary.

The paper said a new war could break out any time and the North would continue to strengthen its nuclear arsenal.

"As long as the US hostile policy continues, we will never give up our nuclear deterrent and even strengthen it," Rodong said.

Turkey Backs Iranian Regime

Turkey's crypto-Islamist government is supporting the monstrous mullahocracy. Click herefor the story.

Turkey's stance is partly the fault of the United States. The Bush administration deterred a coup attempt by Turkey's military--traditional guardian of the country's secular system--and the Obama administration has backed Turkey's bid for European Union membership, even though the U.S. is not a member of the EU.

The Obama administration's policy is to accommodate so-called moderate Islamists, including Turkey's ruling party and Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood.

Like Turkey, the administration is opposed to regime change in Iran.

Meet North Korea's New Spy Boss

A South Korean newspaper report says North Korea's lunatic leader, Kim Jong-il, has put his youngest son in charge of the country's secret police.

The report in the Dong-a Ilbo, which is based on information from an unnamed source, says Kim visited North Korea's State Security Department in March, along with his son, Kim Jong-un.

The report says that during the visit Dear Leader told agency leaders to regard his son as the agency's head. Kim also ordered members of the agency to protect his son with their lives as they have done for him in the past.

The report adds that Kim awarded agency officials five imported luxury cars worth some $80,000 each.

The paper says Pyongyang's State Security Department, which cracks down on dissidents and conducts overseas spy operations, has been under Kim's control since 1987.

Protesters Charge Riot Police In Iran

From Twitter:

Security forces firing weapons beat protesters in Tehran; witness on CNN TV says they beat people like "animals."

They pull away the dead into trucks - like factory - no human can do this - we beg Allah for save us....

In Baharestan we saw militia with axe choping ppl like meat - blood everywhere - like butcher - Allah Akbar -

They are killing and masacaring people in Baharestan....

So many ppl arrested - young & old - they take ppl away - we lose our group....

They were waiting for us - they all have guns and riot uniforms - it was like a mouse trap - ppl being shot like animal...

The Times reports on some of the world's bravest people:

It was a far cry from the massive demonstrations of last week. Today, just a few hundred protesters converged on Baharestan Square, opposite the Iranian Parliament, and they were brutally repulsed.

It was an exercise in courageous futility, not a contest. Thousands of riot police and militiamen flooded the area. They used teargas, batons and overwhelming force. Helicopters hovered overhead. Nobody was allowed to stop or to gather, let alone exercise their constitutional right to protest.

A video clip posted on YouTube showed young men and women, their faces concealed behind bandanas, throwing stones by a burning barricade and chanting “Death to the Dictator”.

Twitter was flooded with lurid messages. “They pull away the dead — like factory — no human can do this,” said one. “They catch people with mobile — so many killed today — so many injured,” said another. “In Baharestan we saw militia with axe chopping ppl like meat — blood everywhere,” said a third.

Meanwhile....

In Washington the State Department confirmed, to nobody’s surprise, that not one Iranian diplomat, anywhere in the world, had accepted ground-breaking invitations from their American counterparts to share hotdogs at July 4 parties.

The White House later rescinded the disgraceful invitation.

Recalling Cyrus, Could Israel Liberate Iran?

The Persian Emperor Cyrus the Great liberated the Jews from Babylonian captivity and permitted them to return to their native land of Israel. More than 40,000 are said to have availed themselves of the privilege, as noted in the Biblical accounts of Ezra, and Nehemiah.

Could modern Israel liberate Iran? Possibly. If the Islamist regime remains in power and is allowed to develop nuclear arms, Israel will be compelled to attack the nuclear and ballistic missile installations and the bases of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, which has vowed to exterminate the Jewish State. Swift, merciless, targeted strikes on the parallel military force that underpins the clerical fascist regime could cause its downfall in a scenario that could see regular army officers joining with millions of democracy-seekers.

Regardless of the outcome, even if an assault on the IRGC should prove to be wildly successful and end the 30-year-old Islamist menace for once and all, the pro-appeasement Obama administration would most likely move to punish Israel for daring to defend itself against a looming second Holocaust.
