Upheaval in Iran Threatens Both Islamist Rule and the Myths Underlying Obama's Appeasement Policy

The unrest in Iran is no longer about a rigged election. The country could be at the brink of a real revolution, the potential significance of which is huge.

Apart from bringing freedom to the Iranian people, an overthrow of the turbaned tyranny would debunk the myths on which the Obama administration has based its perfidious policies: that Islamism is an irreversible tide that must be accommodated and appeased; that regime change in Iran is impossible; that it is in the national interest of the United States to cozy up to the nuclear-arming mullahocracy and its proxies, Hamas and Hezbollah, and allies, Syria and the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood.
