The futility of my effort to carry out the responsibility of a good citizen became apparent when she again said there was no way any staff member was going to call me back since they are constantly in meetings. My goodness...how interesting that Congressional staff members are all in meetings during the August recess, or could they be kayaking on the Potomac? And even if they are not kayaking and are in meetings, do they not have lunch break , or some reason to leave their meetings, in order to respond to the people who pay their salaries?........

Perhaps some of you feel like Glenn Beck. If it is proven what can we do anyway? We wouldn’t possibly throw him out of office. Shame on Glenn Beck for cashing in like that! Sotomayor: Bad on Guns and the Constitution
While it is absolutely certain that she is anti-gun in her views, it is also interesting to note that President Obama's pick is essentially the swap of a Republican liberal (Justice David Souter) for a Democrat liberal (Sotomayor). Judge Sotomayor's views of her mission as a Latina judge and would-be justice are so controversial that her Senate confirmation is fast becoming a referendum on the role of the judiciary in a constitutional republic......
