Here's a question that no reporter has thus far had the intelligence or courage to ask U.S. President Barack Obama: Mr. President, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has touted the idea of extending a "nuclear umbrella" over American allies in the Middle East as a way of countering or neutralizing a nuclear-armed Iran. How do you think Pakistan would react to such a development? India is inspecting a North Korean ship for nuclear materials.

A preliminary search of the ship, the MV Mu San, turned up nothing. But further inspections are planned, as of this writing.
