The state of Israeli Politics?????

Political Intrigue or Planned Crises Management.

The cabal of 6 that currently run Israeli Politics.

Dr. Mike Cohen, a veteran political and security analyst, strategist
and commentator, is the Galilee Institute's Founder and Senior
Analyst.

Dr. Cohen wears several professional hats in philanthropy,
business, entrepreneurship and counter-terrorism. He is the
Managing Partner of Israel POC (Point of Contact), which
represents American business and organizational interests in
Israel and is a lecturer at several institutions including Bar Ilan
University.

In May 2008, Mike accepted Israel's Minister of Defense Award for
IDF Reserve Support on behalf of The Galilee Institute (see
picture at right).

A 26-year veteran IDF reserve officer in an elite special-forces unit,
Dr. Cohen has been active in Israeli, American and Israel-
Diaspora politics in a wide variety of behind-the-scenes
capacities since his teen years and has served in a range of
advisory positions under five Israeli Prime Ministers dating back
to the late Menachem Begin, of blessed memory.

He has traveled extensively throughout the world, visiting with
thousands of friends of Israel, speaking to them about Israel from
his unique security-military-community perspective and
encouraging them to come and visit - early and often.

During Operation Defensive Shield in April/May 2002, Dr. Cohen
was assigned to the National Emergency Response &
Negotiation Team in Bethlehem that was tasked with handling the
multifaceted and potentially explosive crisis surrounding the
Church of the Nativity's abduction by terrorists.

Since then, he has been working with the IDF and the Israel
Police assisting their efforts to depoliticize the nation's security
decisions and concerns, comprehensively briefing visiting
diplomats, politicians, dignitaries, security experts and communal
missions and trying to help redefine the electronic information
distribution systems the official security services use to "get the
word out."

In this capacity, Dr. Cohen was invited to testify before and share
his analysis and experience with the 9/11 Commission in
Washington, DC.

A former executive at the National Basketball Association, the
American Sportscaster’s Association, Yad Vashem, Israel’s
National Holocaust Memorial & Museum, Yeshiva University, the
Orthodox Union and the Israel Ministry of Tourism, Dr. Cohen is
an oft-requested scholar-in-residence, lecturer and strategist on
issues regarding Middle East security, the Military Aspects of
International Conflict and Peace Making, Israel-Diaspora
relations, Israeli Society and Body Politic, Homeland Security,
Conflict Resolution, and the use of technology for community
development. He is active as a key advisor to many Jewish,
Israeli, American, multi-cultural organizations and NGO’s, and
has served as a delegate to the World Zionist Organization
representing both the Mizrachi and Likud movements.

Dr. Cohen served as Executive Director of Likud/Herut North
America and its representative to the Conference of Presidents of
Major American Jewish Organizations under the government of
Yitzchak Shamir. In that capacity Mike developed & directed the U.
S.-based extra-governmental National Media Response Team, a
2,500 studential volunteer force designed to help support Israel’s
official diplomatic efforts during Gulf War I and the Madrid Peace
Conference.

He has worked with the entire gamut of news networks, electronic
and print, has been called to consult on a range of topics for
members of both houses of the United States Congress and in
the Israeli Knesset and has addressed the entire alphabet soup
of Jewish and Christian organizational life.

In 2002 Mike compiled Ordinary People - Extraordinary Spirit a
220-page photo essay that illustrated the amazing spirit shown by
Israeli, Jewish and Christian Zionist society in the face of the
ongoing campaign of global and domestic terror and "The Job of
A Jewish Soldier" a children's book designed to help Jewish
parents worldwide explain the images their children are seeing
on TV in a gentler and more positive manner.

Dr. Cohen’s is currently working on two new titles: "Where There
Is No Vision, People Die,” (Proverbs 29:18) and "Before Oslo
There Was Peace". The Hebron File, an historical novel
published by Dr. Cohen which garnered rave reviews is now
available in Hebrew and English.
