According to the emergency committee, pollution’s average PM (particulate matter: tiny particles of solid or liquid suspended in a gas) reached 119 on Sunday.

In the committee meeting on Sunday, the pollution and its possible effects in the next few days were studied and ways to deal with the issue were also discussed.
The Director of Tehran’s Environment Department, Mohammad Baqer Saddouq, criticized the Industries Ministry for not cooperating over the issue.
Also, the director of Tehran’s Meteorological Organization predicted that the dust pollution will go down from Tuesday on.
It is the second time that dust pollution hits Tehran. The pollution brought the metropolis of Tehran to standstill in early July to the extent that the government institutions were closed for two days
