Anyone catch Lord Mandelson ducking and diving with Jim Naughtie on Today this morning? The big lie being perpetuated this morning was that Labour would "spend wisely" whereas the evil Conservatives would...gasp...CUT vital public services! (The sort that Comrade Barber was on earlier to defend) In fairness to Jim, he tried to get Mandy to say "cuts" when it came to Labour plans but the adroit Lord Rio avoided the use of the word. I got the impression that Naughtie wanted Mandelson to state that the hated Trident might be up for the axe but again, the slippery Lord left the doors all open. Predictable. Have you read the BBC's coverage of the huge rally of Americans in DC unhappy at The One and his Obamacare plans? It starts by telling us that there were "tens of thousands" of people there (underplay) before then hailing the fact that the Lightworker addressed a crowd of 15,000 adoring supporters. The MSM has been caught out by the scale of the protest and there is a clear attempt to play down the significance of this dissent. The BBC then shows clear bias when it states " The health care plans currently being considered in Congress are all attempting to expand coverage, while also reforming the system to prevent spiralling costs." That's an opinion. Plenty of Americans see the health care plans being considered in Congress as poorly considered and likely to massively increase costs. That's also an opinion. Why does the BBC only parrot one pov? Comrade Barber of the TUC has his ludicrous economic assessment carried by the BBC here. The odd thing is that Barber gets space for his contention that it would be madness to deal with the burgeoning public sector debt by..erm.. cutting it. McDoom gets space to say all is well. Vince Cable even gets space to have his have it all ways say...but, I think ONE party is all but ignored. Can you guess which one? Barber even gets a veiled threat to public safety in the last but one sentence. The BBC does not pursue it, naturally. As we approach the GE, the BBC will work with the Union baronsto ensure that Cameron is as boxed in as is possible so that any post election propensity to axe the bloated State sector is minimised. Self-interest is clearly a driving force here!THE MINUTE YOU WALKED IN THE JOINT........
