South Korean Leader Appeals to North
South Korea's president foolishly believes the North can be persuaded to make peace and abandon atomic arms, as reported here.
He is dead wrong. North Korea aims to conquer the South. The Stalinist/Kimist/criminal regime will never give up its nuclear arsenal and ambitions.Chavez Stooge Fails to Retake Honduras

Understanding Obama's Leftist Linkage
U.S. President Barack Obama's unusual approach to linkage--unilaterally scrapping European missile defense while linking Iran's nuclear ambitions to the creation of an Islamist-ruled Palestinian state--belies a left-wing ideological perspective that (a) was lost or suppressed during the 2008 Presidential campaign, and (b) has not changed since his Columbia University student days, as shown by a lengthy, rambling article he wrote for a campus magazine in his senior year. The article--part polemic and part poor journalism--was written in 1983, at the height of the Cold War. Writing about his vision of "a nuclear free world," Obama profiled two left-wing campus groups, Arms Race Alternatives and Students Against Militarism, which basically followed the Soviet line. Describing the Reagan administration's defense buildup as a “distorted priority” and “dead end track," Obama blamed the United States and its “twisted” world view for the “growing threat of war.”
"Generally, the narrow focus of the [nuclear] Freeze movement as well as academic discussions of first versus second strike capabilities suit the military-industrial interests, as they continue adding to their billion dollar erector sets," Obama wrote. "When Peter Tosh sings that 'everybody is asking for peace, but nobody's asking for justiice,' one is forced to wonder whether disarmament or arms control issues, severed from economic and political issues, might be another instance of focusing on the symptoms of a problem instead of the disease itself."
Another Obama pearl of wisdom: “Most students at Columbia do not have first hand knowledge of war. Military violence has been a vicarious experience, channeled into our minds through television film, and print . . . We know that wars have occurred, will occur, are occurring, but bringing such experiences down into our hearts and taking continual, tangible steps to prevent war, becomes a difficult task.”Islamists Planning Attacks on US Hotels, Stadiums

Intelligence experts have long been concerned that Islamist terror groups could launch suicide bombings and Mumbai-style swarming attacks on so-called soft targets in the United States, including, in addition to those mentioned above, schools, hospitals, and apartment buildings.
China Confidential analysts assert that the Obama administration's appeasement policy, outreach to and elevation of "the Muslim world" and downgrading/demilitarizing of the war against radical Islam--which the Bush administration misnamed the War on Terror--has emboldened Muslim extremists and encouraged them to believe that they can bring the U.S. to its knees.Scrapping Missile Defense is a Stab in the Back
President Obama's decision to cancel plans for U.S. missile defense sites in Poland and the Czech Republic is a knife in the back for those countries. The implications for U.S. security and the transatlantic relationship are profound. Critics rightly note that the sudden announcement Thursday sends a dangerous message to allies, both in Europe and elsewhere, who rely on U.S. security guarantees.

Obama warned Israel and the Palestinians to start cutting a deal. Actually, his blunt talk was directed at Israel--formerly an American ally and strategic asset, now regarded as a liability by an Islamist-leaning, left-wing administration. Click here for the story.
