The commander of
Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafary, Monday, Oct. 19, threatened "crushing" retaliation against the US, UK and Pakistan including the invasion of its eastern neighbor. Tehran links all three to the suicide bombing attack in Sistan-Baluchistan Sunday, Oct. 18, which killed 42 people including seven senior Guards officers.
"Behind this scene are the American and British intelligence apparatus and there will have to be retaliatory measures to punish them."

Hizballah telecommunications knocked out in another mysterious explosion

The mysterious explosion which knocked Hizballah's military telecommunications network out of commission Saturday night, Oct. 17, had evolved by Sunday morning into three Israeli wiretapping devices buried in the hills of Houla in South Lebanon which were discovered and blown up.
DEBKAfile's military sources report that Hizballah and the Lebanese army got together on this story to cover up the extent of the damage to Hizballah's military telecommunications network.

Seven high-ranking Iranian officers among the 42 people who died in a suicide bombing attack in the Sistan-Baluchi provincial town of Pisheen early Sunday, Oct. 18.
Tehran vowed swift retribution, Parliament speaker Ali Larijani accused the US, which rejected the charge of involvement.
