In a blow to those who had placed their hope in Vaclav Klaus, the Czech President said today that he would sign the Lisbon Treaty. Although he is opposed to it, he says it is to late to stop the treaty.

In other news, Syria has transferred a quarter of its long-range missile arsenal to Hizbullah in Lebanon.
