CHINA CONFIDENTIAL
Russia Rejects New Iran Sanctions; US Appeasement Making War Inevitable
Russia has rejected new sanctions on Iran, calling them "counterproductive," proving, as China Confidential analysts have asserted, that there was no prior understanding between Washington and Moscow relative to the Obama administration's sudden scrapping of plans for an Eastern European-based missile defense shield. Click here for the breaking news.
As China is still staunchly opposed to taking truly tough measures to force Iran to abandon its atomic ambitions, the countdown to conflict with the turbaned tyranny continues; and every day that passes favors Tehran.
Not only has the Obama administrations perfidious policy of appeasing and attempting to actually align with Islamist Iran (and Islamism in general) failed to prevent war; the policy is making war inevitable--on Iran's terms.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton should seriously consider her own timetable--for resigning her position rather than collaborating in the further weakening of U.S. national security and betrayal of Israel, Iran's primary target for nuclear annihilation.

Is Information the Key to Iranian Regime Change?
Abbas Djavadi asserts that a freer flow of information in Iran could lead to regime change.
"The Iranian regime cannot tolerate the free and fair flow of information," he writes. "For that reason, Tehran has been quite successful in banning, jamming, blocking, and disrupting that flow of information, not to prevent 'Western media infiltration,' but primarily in order to minimize communication between its own citizens."

Intelligence Confirms China Confidential Prediction: North Korea Preparing to Test-Fire More Missiles
The Stalinist/Kimist state is preparing to test-fire more short-range missiles.
Reuters reports:
North Korea may be preparing to launch more short-range missiles a day after it fired a barrage off its east coast, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said on Tuesday, quoting a government source.
The launches come as the reclusive communist state has signaled to the outside world that it might return to talks on ending its nuclear arms program and made overtures to the South for working-level dialogue amid chilled ties.
Indications of the additional launches are coming from the western part of the Korean peninsula, Yonhap quoted the source as saying. North Korea has issued a warning for vessels to stay out of waters off its coasts, Japan's coast guard and Yonhap said.

North Korea Fires Short-Range Missiles
North Korea is again challenging the international community with provocative missile tests. Reuters reports:
North Korea test-fired short-range missiles on Monday, South Korean media reported, sparking consternation just as the reclusive state had been signaling to the outside world it might return to nuclear talks.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, reacting to the reported launches, said Washington would continue to work toward a nuclear-free Korean peninsula, while a Russian official expressed bewilderment.

China Confidential analysts say the launch was timed to mar the U.S. observance ofColumbus Day, a national holiday.
Analysts expect the North to launch more missiles and to maybe even detonate another nuclear device in order to extract concessions from its adversaries and divert attention from the nuclear and missile programs of the Stalinist/Kimist state's Islamist ally, Iran.
