LAPD Takes Over Boy Scout Explorer Program   'With a pledge to develop a program that does not tolerate discrimination, Los Angeles police officials said Tuesday they are on target to take over the Explorer Program on Jan. 1. New uniforms, patches and other insignia will be unveiled – along with a new name – to make the long-debated transition of the program from the Learning for Life subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America to the LAPD’s control. “There has been a major push to get this together and we are there,” Assistant Chief Earl Paysinger told the Police Commission. Swine Flu Vaccine Deliveries to Sweden are Stopped 'The delivery of the vaccine against swine flu are to be stopped from early January. That is the outcome of an agreement between several Swedish authorities and the vaccine manufacturer Glaxo Smith Kline, says Sveriges Radio Ekot.   Sweden was one of the few countries that made a deal with Glaxo Smith Kline for complete coverage and ordered 18 million doses of vaccine. When the recommendations were changed later from two to one dose per adult, it was clear that Sweden would have a large surplus of the vaccine. But now, Swedish authorities have managed to stop further deliveries temporarily. In January,by which time 10 million doses will have been delivered, no further deliveries will be made.' Read more... Climategate: The Corruption of Wikipedia 'If you want to know the truth about Climategate, definitely don’t use Wikipedia. “Climatic Research Unit e-mail controversy”, is its preferred, mealy-mouthed euphemism to describe the greatest scientific scandal of the modern age. Not that you’d ever guess it was a scandal from the accompanying article. It reads more like a damage-limitation press release put out by concerned friends and sympathisers of the lying, cheating, data-rigging scientists   Which funnily enough, is pretty much what it is.
