More than 30 years after the success of The Naked Civil Servant, 

John Hurt reprises his role as the flamboyant English eccentric Quentin Crisp. 

Quentin sets off on the journey of a lifetime to New York, which is to become his home for the remainder of his long life. 

The Big Apple immediately embraces him and his witty waspish ways, and before long he is being wined and dined by celebrities.

 But never a stranger to controversy, he soon finds some of his comments threaten his future career.
