Mena: Would you like to come visit Israel? To settle here?
Vicky Worotitjan: Yes, I would like to visit Israel and also settle there if possible.
Mena: What interests you most in Israel?
Vicky: Jerusalem!
Mena: Would you (and your friends) like to enroll in the Israeli army?
Vicky: Yes, we wish to serve in the Israeli army.
Mena: Would you be willing to serve in any other Israeli institution?
Vicki Worotitjan
The chief of police of Manado (500 000 inhabitants) is “one of them” too
He sent us a photo of himself draped in an Israeli flag
Vicky: Yes, we are ready to work in an Israeli NGOs.
Mena: Have there been Christians presidents in the history of Indonesia?
Vicky: No, never.
Mena: Do you follow news about Israel in the media?
Vicky: Yes, certainly, I follow them in the media and on the Internet.
Mena: The news from Israel must be somewhat distorted in the Indonesian press, where do you find better quality information?
Vicky: On the Web. In the Jerusalem Post, for example, and on other Israeli Websites.
Mena: Does your organization publish newspapers? Does it manage other media?
Vicky: No, we only communicate through Facebook.
Mena: How do you feel about Muslims?
Vicky: They are religious fanatics, it is a violent religion.
Mena: Do you think Israel should help you in your resistance? What do you hope that Israelis and Jews will do for you?
Vicky: Yes, we expect Israelis and Jews to support our resistance. We need help to build an Israeli Center in Indonesia. The first stage entails building a library containing all the books on Israel, its history, its literature, its army, human rights in Israel, Judaism, the study of the Old Testament. All this in English, of course, not in Hebrew. WE NEED BOOKS, as soon as possible!
Mena: What is the level of violence of the Indonesian government, overall?
Vicky: The government never talks of slaughtering Israel. But the radical Muslim parties, such as the FPI (Front for the Defense of Islam), the Mujahedeen, the PKS speak only of crushing Israel.
Mena: Does the state have a strong political police?
Vicky: No, it does not.
Mena: Do you feel spied on?
Vicky: No, because we do not boast of our activities.
Mena: Is your organization politically oriented?
Vicky: No, it is not. But we are liberals in the American sense of the term.
Mena: Are you nonviolent or do you have the means to defend yourself?
Vicky: We are a non-violent organization.
Mena: How are you perceived by the rest of Indonesia? Are they aware of the existence of your pro-Israeli organization?
Vicky: Most local Muslims do not like the supporters of Israel. But here is no awareness because we have never been exposed in the media.
Mena: How do you regard the Palestinians?
Vicky: As radical Muslims who advocate violence.
Mena: Do you foresee a solution to our conflict with the Arabs?
Vicky: We believe that a solution can be shaped through dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians in the West Bank. It is important to seek a win-win solution.
Mena: Do you believe that Israel should concede territories for peace?
Vicky: We believe that you must uphold your right to the land of Israel. Consider the example of Gaza: you gave them Gaza, they “gave” you rockets. That is enough! “Territories for peace”? Do not trust the Arabs!
Mena: Would you be interested in the Metula News Agency providing regular updates on the situation in Indonesia? On the activities of your organization?
Vicky: Certainly. Yes, we want the Metula News Agency to provide regular updates on the situation in Indonesia and on our organization.
For the time being, I hope that Israelis and Jews around the world will send us BOOKS [emphasis in original. Editor’s note.] about Israel and Judaism (text books about the Old Testament); we will build the library of the Israel Center in Indonesia.
Let everyone send us two books – new or second-hand – it will be the One person Two books movement for Indonesia, or more simply put, Books for Indonesia.
Our organization is ready to organize and manage an operation “Book for the Israel Center in Indonesia”, care about Indonesia!
IN THIS WAY, WE WILL BROADCAST TO INDONESIAN PEOPLE INFORMATION ON ISRAEL, FROM THE ISRAELI SIDE, ABOUT THE ARABS, HUMAN RIGHTS IN ISRAEL, HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE ARAB COUNTRIES. BUT FOR THIS, WE NEED BOOKS.
Bring your personal contribution to this project; send your emails to proisrael.indonesia@gmail.com [in English. Mena’s Note].

Messages titled “Israel Center Indonesia” are blocked by the Indonesian government; we prefer emails and our physical address without the title.
Books sent directly from Israel to Manado are also blocked. They must pass through another country [North America, EU are fine. Mena’s Note].
The reaction to this article by Israeli readers and Diaspora Jews WILL PROVE that this article carries significance beyond the borders of Israel.
Please make sure to inform the largest number of people that Indonesia is not 100% Muslim. In Indonesia there are the Menasha people, the “Defenders of Israel in Indonesia”.
The end.
