Copenhagen 2009, brought to you by BMW. And Merc. And Volvo. And Honda...

Aside from the fact that accredited lobbyists at Copenhagen will outnumber journalists and that the entirety of the diplomatic horse-trading is going to happen behind closed doors in shady backrooms, there are some interesting sponsors among the "COP15" list:

I think it is remarkable that they have 140 private jets ferrying in celebraties and politicians and they are using 1200 stretch limousines brought in from all over Northern Europe, and only FIVE of them are bio-fuel limos.

It has been reported that the country's airports cannot cope with the extra jets and some of them are having to be flown out to other contries to be parked up until needed.

I really feel like I should, at least, receive two free cinema tickets to a film of my choice for my last years reduction of my carbon consumption to a level that would partially offset one private jet for one celebrity to fly in to Copenhagen to look "green and planet friendly"

Just when do these hipocrites expect us to start to take them seriously on carbon emissions?

You miss the point, gentlemen. Cuts, hardship, poverty, misery are all for the little people. The very important people are junketing in Copenhagen. Global warming idiots and taxers.
