china confidentialUS Grand Bargain With Iran May be Alive, After All
Something seems rotten in Central Asia.
America's official broadcasting service reports:Foreign ministers from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran [italics added for emphasis] say their three countries will increase cooperation on regional issues in the coming months. Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta and Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki signed a joint declaration Saturday after meeting in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.
The foreign ministers from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran say the meeting is part of a process to create a roadmap for a region where so much is at stake.
Iran's semi-official news agency says the foreign ministers will meet in Tehran.
That's right--in Tehran, capital of the nuclear-arming, America-hating, Holocaust-denying, Hitler-admiring, turbaned tyranny.
Which makes this reporter suspect the Obama administration is still trying to strike a Grand Bargain with Iran to pacify Pakistan and Afghanistan.Iran Demands Recognition of its 'Nuclear Rights'
There is no diplomatic solution to the problem of nuclear-arming, Islamist Iran. Regime change--through revolution or war--is the only way forward, assuming civilized nations are not prepared to "live with but never accept" an Iranian nuclear weapons state, as suggested by Obama advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, who, as President Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor, helped the Islamists take over Iran more than three decades ago.
