ZIMBABWE and the Jews remaining there!!!!!!!

and Israel's Response!!!!!!

more to follow

thank you         visitor from Israel

Harold,

there are currently about 200 Jews, mostly elderly with not assets or family living in the most unimaginable conditions in Zimbabwe.

If they go to the airport to leave for Israel they are stopped in various ways but most don't even have the money for a ticket.

I was told this by a woman who got out with the clothes on her back basically.

She was having some problems completing her aliyah and she seemed to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's but lucid enough to accurately describe what the community is going thru.

She had her own lovely home conscripted for the "troops" and barely got out alive.

This needs to be made known.

This particular woman held a Brit. passport and even with that, Nfesh b'Nefesh wouldn't help until she brought positive proof she was Jewish.

Not an easy task but I am absolutely convinced she was.

We lost contact but TELFED was supposedly going to try to help.

Please get this story out.

I may be able to find the woman again for you because she was staying at a hostel and they too were trying to help.
