Subsequently, it was reported that the Saudi authorities were negotiating with Iran to permit her to leave the country and return to Saudi Arabia.
In a sarcastic article, Saudi columnist Muhammad Al-Milfy wrote that this incident sheds light on the ties that exist between Iran and Al-Qaeda.

Uzbek Islamic Jihad Union Video Features "Little Mujahideen"
A new video from the Waziristan-based Uzbek "Islamic Jihad Union" contains footage from an IJU madrasa in which young children are shown undergoing military training. The video, which runs slightly over 20 minutes, was produced by ElifMedya, a Turkish media company affiliated with the Islamic Jihad Union (but which is apparently distinct from the IJU's official media wing, Badr Al-Tawhid). The main purpose of the video appears to be to thank contributors for their donations to the group and to show what it has done with the funds ElifMedya frequently conducts online fundraising campaigns to support orphans and widows of mujahideen in Afghanistan-Pakistan, and the current video references some of the themes used in these fundraising messages. In addition to orphans from Andijan, the group claims that it helps refugees from Tatarstan who fled from Russian colonialism to Afghanistan.
