The Muslim dream The massacre of Jews by Muslims in Hebron in 1929. One of many jihads in Hebron. Hebron 3/16/2010: Muslims (R) scuffle with Israeli troops during a rally against the presence of Jewish people in the West Bank city of Hebron February 25, 2010. In a historic reversal of American foreign policy, the US is backing the same horse it fought against during World War II. Stunning. Instead of fighting against nazism and racism, Obama has joined the fight of the Muslim Mufti al Husseini -- the only leader of an axis power who remained unpunished. The United States/Israeli relationship has suffered its deepest rift in decades, a dispute over new Jewish homes in a traditionally Arab part of Jerusalem.UPDATE: Not East Jerusalem, more media anti-semitism: (thanks to Ron) "Ramat Shlomo" where the building permits were discussed being given is decidedly NOT in "East Jerusalem", despite what the media keep saying. It is in the north of Jerusalem, just north of the "Sanhedria" neighborhood. The Muslims are free to live in Israel, but Jews cannot live among Muslims or in Muslim lands. This is what America is standing up for? An increasingly pathetic Hillary Clinton said that Israel "must prove it is committed to peace 'with actions'" while the Muslims rioted through Jerusalem today: Hamas has called for a new intifada against the Jewish people because of Obama's pro-jihad policies. Palestinian youths throw stones at Israeli soldiers during clashes at Qalandia checkpoint between the West Bank city of Ramallah. Obama brought this on. How sick with Jew-hatred has the left become in America. Foreign Policy is reporting that Israel's intransigence could cost American lives. The Jihad that is murdering tens of thousands of infidels across the world and is demanded by the Koran is now the fault of the Jews. How very Muslim. In this connection it is interesting to note that the physical destruction of the Jews- indeed the beginning of the whole extermination campaign- probably coincided with the Mufti’s arrival in the Axis camp. Before this, the Jews had been deported to ghettoes in Poland and forced to work for the German war industry. On these occasions of course the Gestapo acted with its customary brutality. Old and weak people succumbed. But mass executions only started when Eichmann and the Mufti had come together again.”’ Obama's anti-semitism is well documented in my soon-to-be-released book. On December 8, 1938, Lord Harlech said this of the Muslim Mufti of Jerusalem in a debate in the House of Lords: " The Mufti... is playing his own dynastic game and that game is undoubtedly to become not merely the sovereign of Palestine, not merely the crowned or uncrowned king of Palestine, but first head of Palestine, then of Palestine and Transjordan combined, and then the whole of Syria, and of course in that position to be regarded the leader of the Sunni world (Sunni is one of the two main Moslem sects) ...He is a man of quite unlimited political ambitions. He was a Turkish Staff officer --- and incidentally a Turk who knew him thought he was the blackest-hearted man in the Middle East." What follows are excerpts from the 1947 Maurice Pearlman book, The Mufti of Jerusalem: “Perish Judea” “Arabs, rise and fight as one for your sacred rights. Kill the Jews wherever you find them. This pleases God, history and religion. This saves your honour, God is with you.” This, and similar appeals recurred time and again in the ex-Mufti’s broadcast addresses, during the war. They occur in almost every extract reproduced in the chapter on Haj Amin’s propaganda activities. It was known during the war that Jews in Europe were being exterminated. It was known that the ex- Mufti had had a hand in the massacres of Jews in the Arab countries. But it was not known until after that war that Haj Amin’s anti-Jewish activities had extended beyond the incitement stage. It has now been established that five million seven hundred thousand Jews in Europe were exterminated in Nazi concentration camps. It has now also been established that the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el Husseini, played an active role in that unprecedented massacre of a people. Records found in Nazi archives and evidence produced at the Nuremberg trial reveal in specific terms that the ex-Mufti was a leading henchman of the SS Obersturmbannfuehrer Eichmann, principal executive officer in the liquidation of European Jewry. It is now established that, but for Haj Amin, the scale of murder might not have been so extensive, and hundreds of thousands of Jewish lives might have been saved. Suspicions that the ex-Mufti’s voice was not being used for the microphone alone were first aroused in 1942 when the first European Jewish refugees managed to reach Palestine. They brought stories from some of Europe’s ghettoes where German Templars (see chapter 9, page 55) were reported to be in charge of the liquidation of Jews under the supreme direction of Eichmann. Eichmann, who had himself spent some years in Palestine as a Nazi agent, was an expert on Jewish affairs, and he had directed the Gestapo department of Jewish affairs at the Gestapo head office in Berlin since 1936. It was he who before the war had directed the expropriation and dispatch to concentration camps of German Jews. It was he who after the war had started organized the deportation of Jews from Germany and the occupied territories to what eventually became the extermination camps in German, Czechoslovakia, and Poland. It was he who planned the gas chamber method of mass murder. It was assumed that there might be some connection between Haj Amin and Eichmann as soon as it was learned that he had roped in the Palestinian German Templars as some of his key men. This assumption was strengthened bt a Radio Berlin broadcast of 5th October, 1943, which reported that “Haj Amin el Husseini, Mufti of Jerusalem, has arrived in Frankfurt for the purpose of visiting the research Institute on Jewish Problem. At the time of his visit, Haj Amin declared that the Arabs and the Germans are partners and allies in the battle against world Jewry.” Subsequent German broadcasts showed that the ex-Mufti was a leading figure at most of the anti-Jewish conventions in Germany and the occupied territories. In July, 1943, the Nazis announced that, unable to attend that Nazi conference of journalists held in Vienna, the Mufti had sent them a message “congratulating them on the success of their anti-Jewish campaign and conveyed special greetings to Arab and Indian delegates.” Then came a hint in one of Haj Amin’s broadcasts which was not fully understood at the time. In a Berlin radio speech on 21st September 1944, the ex-Mufti asked: “Is it not in your power, O Arabs, to repulse the Jews whose number does not exceed eleven millions?” Why “eleven millions”? No one outside Germany knew at the time the scale of Jewish extermination. It was known that before the war the Jewish population numbered nearly seventeen millions. The ex-Mufti’s figure was written off at the time as a slip of the tongue, or an error in the script. But now the facts are known. It was no arithmetic error. Haj Amin knew then what only Hitler, Himmler and Eichmann knew: that more than five million Jews had been liquidated. But real evidence of Haj Amin’s complicity emerged only with the defeat of Nazism, the Allied occupation of Germany, and the evidence of produced at the Nuremberg trial. The first revealing document to be discovered was Document No. 1752- PS headed “Preparations already made for the International Congress.” It was dated “Berlin, 15th June 1944,” and it opened with this sentence: “Reichsleader Alfred Rosenberg received the order from the Fuhrer to stage an anti-Jewish congress….It was fixed for the 11th July and held in the eastern Reich, under the auspices of Himmler, Goebbels, Dr. Frank and Von Ribbentrop. Representatives of most of the satellite countries attended it. The document adds: Italy: Minister for National Enlightenment, Mezzasoma (hon. Committee). The former Minister of State, Preziosi (congress committee and congress lecturer. France: Minister for Education, Avel Bonnard (hon. Committee). Secretary of State, Paul Marion (congress committee). Hungary : Minister for the Interior, von Jarosh (hon. Committee and congress lecturer). Holland: Leader of the NSB, Mussert (personally invited by Reichsleader Rosenberg during the latter’s stay in Holland). Arabia: The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (hon. Committee and congress lecturer). Norway: At the present moment, a representative of Reichsleader Rosenberg has arrived here in order personally to convey an invitation to a Prime Minister Quisling to attend.” It is a digression but nevertheless a point of interest that of all these congress committee members mentioned above, the ex-Mufti is the only one who is free and alive. The rest were either executed or condemned to death in absentia. Mezzasoma was shot with Mussolini on 28th April, 1945; Marion is, at the time of writing, in a French prison awaiting trail; Bonnard fled to Barcelona with Laval and was sentenced to death in absentia on 7th April 1946; Jarossh was condemned to death by a Hungarian People’s Court in January, 1946; Quisling of Norway was sentenced to death and executed 24th October, 1945. It may help to clarify the nature of the ex-Mufti’s role in this sorry tale of wholesale Jewish murder if, before citing the original documents, I reproduce a brief summary from an article that appeared in the Central European Observer shortly before the end of the war- just about the time when the first news was emerging of the mass liquidation of European Jewry. The writer says: “I came across Eichmann’s name again after the Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia. He went to Prague and there played the same part as in Austria. Now news has come through that he is one of Himmler’s chief executioners. He is said to have been at one time in command of the notorious concentration camp at Oswiecim…. But mass executions only started when Eichmann and the Mufti had come together again.”’ The writer added: “As long as the war continues, it may not be possible to ascertain with absolute certainty how matters stand. One thing is certain, however: not only the Mufti but also his friend Eichmann must figure in the list of war criminals…. Now for the first document. Here is the background. I have mentioned that in the closing stages of the war Nazi officials in charge of Jewish affairs entered into negotiations with certain Jewish leaders in occupied territories for saving Jewish children against cash payments. There were such negotiations with a member of the Hungarain relief committee and two members of the Jewish Relief Committee of Bratislava in Czechoslovakia. The negotiations were carried out on the German side by the notorious Eichmann, of whom mention has already been made, and one of his subordinates, S.S. Hauptsturmfuehrer Dieter Wisliceny. Remember this name, Wisliceny. You may have heard it before. He has appeared at the Nuremberg trial as a witness for the prosecution. And he has given some very revealing evidence on the extermination of European Jewry. Well, he and Eichmann met the three Jewish Leaders, Dr. Rudolph Kasztner, a Budapest lawyer, and Engineer Steiner and Rabbi Wiessmandel of Bratislava. Here is the affidavit of Engineer Steiner, deposed in the minutes of the Nuremberg trial. It was read over by Wisliceny himself at Nuremberg and approved for accuracy. It bears his countersignature after making two slight corrections. (TRANSLATED FROM THE GERMAN.) Notarized Copy Certified Document Before me- Dr. Vladmiri Pivko- notary public of Bratislava, appeared on the day and place stipulated below, Endre Steiner, an architect… and witnesses… who asked me to draw up the following: Declaration In 1943-44, I- Endre Steiner- residing in Tatranska Lomnica, conducted negotiations with the German adviser on Jewish Affairs who was attached to the Slovakian Government. His name was SS Hauptsturmfuehrer Dieter Wisliceny, member of the German Legation in Bratislava. I conducted these negotiations at the request and as a member of a Jewish Labour Group in Bratislava; a group which made it its task to represent Jewish interests and kept in constant and contact with responsible Jewish bodies in Switzerland and Palestine. In the course of these discussions, among other subjects, we considered the emigration possibilities of children, under the charge of adults, from Slovakia, Poland and Hungary to Palestine. During these negotiations Wisliceny agreed in principle to our proposals and was ready to pass them on his superiors and to discuss them personally with Eichmann. In the course of these discussions, at a time when-according to Wisliceny’s information- a group of Polish children had already reached Theresienstadt Concentration Camp for their emigration, Wisliceny informed me-referring to his conversations with Eichmann-that the destination of a possible emigration may under no circustances be Palestine, or at least that it should not be openly indicated. To a question for the reason, Wisliceny asked me laughingly whether I had not heard of the Grand Mufti whose name was Husseini. He declared that the Mufti was in closest contact and collabortation with Eichmann and, in order not to have this action disapproved by the Mufti, Palestine could not be accepted as the final destination by a German authority. …In later conversations, Wisliceny gave me more details of the Eichmann-Mufti collaboration. The Mufti was a bitter arch-enemy of the Jews and had always been the protagonist of the idea of their annihilation. This idea the Mufti had always advanced in his conversations with Eichmann who, as is known, was born in Palestine. [This last phrase about Eichmann being born in Palestine in untrue. And it is interesting to note the meticulousness with which Wisliceny read this affidavit that he signed a correction, as we shall see at the end.] The Mufti was also one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry by the Germans and had been the permanent collaborator and adviser of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of this plan. I immediately reported to our labour group the facts which Hauptsturmfuehrer Wislicney told me” “I have read these statements. Their content is correct with the exception that Eichann was born in Palestine and that the Mufti was a ‘permanent collaborator’ of Himmler. I did not use this wording. NUREMBERG, the 5th of March, 1946. (Signed) DIETER WISLICENY former SS Hauptsturmfuehrer With the exception of these two trifling details-Eichmann had lived though had not been born in Palestine- Wisliceny, so close to the principal and himself an assistant architect of the plans to liquidate Jewry, confirms even the details of the ex-Mufti’s part in that grim episode. And here, in another authentic document, also deposed at Nuremberg, and signed by another of the three members mentioned above, are further details of the ex-Mufti’s role. It is the affidavit of Dr. Kasztner. I reproduce the relevant extracts: “As the leader of the Jewish Rescue and Relief Committee in Budapest, I requested the competent German authorities to grant the emigration to Palestine of a group of Hungarian Jews. “In the course of these negotiations, which are the subject of my testimony deposed in the minutes of the Nuremberg trial, the high Gestapo official Eichmann declared he would be willing to recommend the emigration of a group of 1,861 Hungarain Jews, on condition that the group should not go to Palestine. “They may go to any country but Palestine,’ I was told by Eichmann, who, as the leader of the Department IV.B. of the Reichssicherheitshaupant, was personally responsible for the deportation and extermination of the European Jews. At first, his argument for his negative and attitude toward the emigration to Palestine was that he did not want to rouse the Arabs against the Reich. At last he said to me literally: “I am a personal friend of the Grand Mufti. We have promised him that no European Jew would enter Palestine anymore. Do you understand now?’ “ ‘ Some days later, SS Hauptsturmfuehrer Dieter Wisliceny, a close collaborator of Eichmann, confidentially confirmed to me the above statement of his chief, and added: “ ‘ According to my opinion, the Grand Mufti, who has been in Berlin since 1941, played a role in the decision of the German Government to exterminate the European Jews, the importance of which must not be disregarded. He had repeatedly suggested to the various authorities with whom he has been in contact, above all before Hitler, Ribbentrop and Himmler, the extermination of European Jewry. He considered this as a comfortable solution of the Palestine problem. In his messages broadcast from Berlin, he surpassed us in anti-Jewish attacks. He was one of Eichmann’s best friends and has constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard say that, accompanied by Eichmann, he has visited incognito the gas chamber at Auschwitz.’” The statement referred to in the affidavit was made by Eichmann in his office in Budapest on the 4th June, 1944. The confirmation by Wisliceny was given some days later, also in Budapest. On 13th June, 1946, in the New York Post, Edgar Ansel Mowrer published facsimile copies of a number of documents found in the Mufti archives at Oybin and Bad Gastein after the Nazi collapse. Mr. Mowrer writes: “Similar documents were found in the Foreign Offices of countries like Rumania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, etc., with which the Mufti had been in correspondence. There were so many of these that they were available to any newspaperman….” Three letters in particular, published in the New York Post, shed more light on the Mufti’s role in the plan to liquidate European Jewry. They are addressed respectively to the Foreign Office of Bulgaria, Hungary and Rumania. The dates are between May and July, 1944. To Hungary and Rumania, he wrote (the text is in French): "I beg Your Excellency to permit me to draw your distinguished attention to the necessity of preventing these Jews from leaving your country for Palestine; and if there are any reasons which make their withdrawal necessary,” that they be sent to “other countries, as for example Poland, where they would find themselves under active surveillance,” and where they would not be dangerous or “cause misfortune.” The letter to Bulgaria is in German, and has the following addition: “Thereby one would accomplish a good and gracious act towards the Arabian people, who will be permanently grateful to you, and you will also make friendship relations even more close.” When these letters were written, Poland had already been set aside as the extermination area for the European Jewry. It galls me incredibly that the US sees fit to condemn Israel over what is -- at most -- an internal bureaucratic matter, but remains absolutely silent over the PA naming streets/schools/anything that doesn't move after murderers.
"With regard to commitments to peace, the government of Israel has proven over the last year that it is commitment to peace, both in words and actions," said the statement."
The statement cited as examples Netanyahu's inaugural foreign policy speech made at Bar Ilan University, the removal of hundreds of roadblocks across the West Bank, and its decision to freeze temporarily construction in West Bank settlements. The latter, said the statement, was even called by Clinton an "unprecedented" move. (more here)PALIN: HIT "RESET" BUTTON WITH ISRAEL
The Obama Administration reaches out to some of the world’s worst regimes in the name of their engagement policy. America and our allies watch as sanctions are eased on Cuba. Letters are written to Iran’s mullahs only to see that regime start killing protestors in the streets of Tehran. Envoys are sent to North Korea as they continue to defy the world’s demand to give up their nuclear weapons. The Burmese military junta’s representative is allowed to travel to our nation's capital. The President’s envoy for Sudan talks about giving that genocidal regime “gold stars,” while the President shakes hands with Venezuela’s tyrannical leader. In the midst of all this embracing of enemies, where does the Obama Administration choose to escalate a minor incident into a major diplomatic confrontation? With Iran, Cuba, Sudan, North Korea or Burma? No. With our treasured ally, Israel.
Last October, Secretary of State Clinton recognized Israel's desire for peace in the Middle East and praised Israel's “unprecedented” concessions for agreeing to halt settlement construction in the West Bank, a concession that did NOT include halting construction of apartments for Jews in Jerusalem. Even last week after planned construction was announced, Vice President Biden still expressed “appreciation” for the “significant” steps taken by the Israeli government to address this minor issue. Now, however, we see the Obama Administration has decided to escalate, make unilateral demands of Israel, and threaten the very foundation of the US-Israel relationship. This is quickly leading to the worst crisis in US-Israel relations in decades, and yet this did not have to happen. More importantly, it needs to stop before it spirals out of control. Vice President Biden should rein in the overheated Obama Administration rhetoric and chill the political spin masters' fire as they visit the Sunday media shows to criticize Israel.
Once again, the Obama Administration is missing the boat on a very, very important issue. They need to go back to the basics and acknowledge Palestinian leaders have not progressed any peace process since President Obama was elected. As Israel makes concessions (and is still criticized by the Obama Administration), Arab leaders are just sitting back waiting for the White House to further pressure Israel. The Obama Administration needs to open its eyes and recognize that it is only Iran and her terrorist allies that benefit from this manufactured Israeli controversy. Vice President Biden was actually right when he said last week, before the construction announcement, that “one necessary precondition for progress is that the rest of the world knows...there is absolutely no space between the United States and Israel when it comes to security.” Right now, thanks to the Obama Administration, there is a chasm. It's time for President Obama to push the reset button on our relations with our ally Israel.
