The real story is that the Obama Administration is proceeding on the basis that evolving a Palestine/Israel accord will be an important element in negotiations with Iran to cease nuclear weapon development.
This fantastical idea has evolved out of the strong White House belief that Iran can be cajoled into an agreement on nuclear weapon development if only the Palestine "problem" was solved. Any action appearing to inhibit the current campaign to bring Israel and Palestine closer is perceived by President Barack Obama as contrary to his plan to prevent Iran from "going nuclear." Contrary to the oft-stated theme of keeping the military option on the table, the Obama Administration is committed to avoiding a preemptive strike on Iranian nuclear development targets.

Russian Leaders Talk Like Leaders, Not Appeasers
Russia's leaders vow the terrorist "beasts" will be "destroyed," as reported here.
No mincing words. No politically correct praise for an inherently intolerant and violent faith that has never reformed itself, never moved beyond the Middle Ages....
Now, if only the Russians would stop playing games with nuclear-arming, terrorist-sponsoring, Islamist Iran as a way of countering U.S. influence ... with Washington reciprocating with a firm promise (a) to stop criticizing Russia for alleged human rights abuses in its war against Al Qaeda-connected, Islamist separatists, and (b) to forever abandon the Cold War notion of using right-wing political Islam as a sword against Russia .... if only the two superpowers who have so much in common in today's world would come to their senses and stop dancing with the devil ... and stay the course ... some good could come from today's horrific terrorist attack.

In the meantime, President Obama has denounced the suicide bombings on Moscow's subways that have killed at least 37 people and injured 65. He issued a statement saying Americans "stand united" with Russians in opposing "violent extremism and heinous terrorist attacks that demonstrate such disregard for human life."
Obama's statement--especially, his use of the taboo T word--was an improvement over the condolences he sent Russia after November's Nevsky Express passenger train bombing, which killed 27 people. Obama called that terrorist attack a "tragedy."
References to radical Islam, however, are not expected to be forthcoming.
Use of such words as Islam and Islamic, Islamist and Islamism, and radical Islam (let alone Islamofascism) in the context of the Islamist/Islamonazi terrorist onslaught has practically been banned by the White House and an adoring liberal media (who prefer "militants" over terrorists). Any and all references to Islamic or Islamist terrorism are regarded as offensive to "Muslim sensibilities"--meaning, more specifically, the imams and mullahs and so-called Islamic scholars who not-so-secretly support, sanction, sympathize with, and apologize for the terrorists.
After 9/11, even President George W. Bush felt the need to praise "peaceful and beautiful Islam" so as not to offend (organized) Muslim sensibilities.
After the Fort Hood massacre, the Pentagon praised "diversity," a code word for suicidal political correctness and appeasement of radical Islam.
Why? What about the rest of us--our sensibilities? Our security?

Radical Muslims have struck again, with a new terrorist atrocity aimed at killing the maximum possible number of civilians. This blog was the first to report that terrorism was suspected in the Moscow explosions and to pinpoint Islamist Chechen separatists as the prime suspects, following the recent bombing of Russia's Nevsky Express passenger train--which U.S. President Obama referred to as a "tragedy" in line with his policy of appeasing the forces of fascistic political Islam.
Perfidy! Where normal people see people movers, Muslim terrorists see people killers. Across the globe, the terrorists target and use trains, planes, and automobiles (car and truck bombs). From the the early morning destruction of the twin towers in Manhattan to the twin bombings in Moscow's Metro--at the peak of rush hour--radical Islam has struck, over and again.
And our leaders still refuse to name the enemy.
Where ordinary Americans see terrorists, Obama and his helpers see "extremists" and "manmade disasters."
Where regular folks see terrorists, the Obama-adoring liberal media see "militants."
Whereas the common people rightly cry out for victory over an enemy whose name they know and dare to say aloud, condemning their crimes as inexcusable, the political and intellectual elitists reflexively dig for "root causes" and call attention to alleged "legitimate grievances."
Whereas everyone in the civilized world knows that radical, right-wing Islam, also known as Islamism, has declared and is waging war on civilization as we know it, the government of the world's greatest democracy persists in pursuing irrational political correctness to terrifying degrees.
Whereas it is clear to most of us that there is no meaningful difference (in terms of the threat to our way of life) between the Saudi Wahhabis who produced Bin Laden and the Iranian Shiite fanatics who created Ahmadinejad, our so-called leaders, led by the Appeaser-in-Chief, don't see it that way at all. They connect dots, alright--to find new ways to blame Israel. Its resistance to radical Islam, Israel's determination to survive and grow and prosper in the midst of a sea of barbarism and backwardness, offends the appeasers and enrages the fifth columnists--and their friends in the liberal media.
Heaven help us.
