Following are excerpts from statements made at a pro-Uighur conference in Istanbul, which aired on Al-Jazeera TV on March 19, 2010.
Turkish politician Bayram Karacan (Büyük Birlik Partisi): "The Chinese know no justice. The Chinese have no conscience. The Chinese have no compassion. The Chinese have no humanity.

"Death to Communist China! Death to the oppressive USA! Death to Israel, which is occupying Muslim lands.
"In conclusion, I would like to quote Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu, our party leader, who was martyred last year. He said: 'I dream of a union from the Adriatic Sea to Eastern Turkestan.' We support this dream, and nobody can prevent us from realizing it."

"East Turkestan Representative": "For the Islamic world, China constitutes a greater problem than the US, because the US does not strive to carry out ethnic cleansing in the Islamic world. China, however, has designs on both what is on the land and beneath its surface – human beings as well as natural resources."
