Public Sector Pension Black Hole to Cost Taxpayers an Extra £330 a Year

'Taxpayers will have to provide about £100 billion a year because not enough funds are being put aside for the retirement schemes.

The total “unfunded” cost of all public sector pensions is estimated at £1 trillion.

Confederation of British Industry, which represents companies employing millions of private sector workers, will call for an official inquiry today into the cost of public sector pensions to take place after the election.'

More Surveillance: Planes, Trains, Automobiles and Buses

'We’ve already seen and experienced the effects of government intervention at airports, with many Americans opting out of flying altogether in order to avoid the hassles of TSA full body scans and gestapo-like interrogations. Whether the the security procedures at airports have made us safer is an oft debated topic, with those who oppose the stringent screening policies pointing to the recent Christmas Day bombing plot and senseless acts of humiliation and demoralization regularly carried out by TSA employees as failures of the current system.

In the near future the government is likely going to begin considering similar “security measures” for all public transportation systems, as Senator Lieberman suggested. If history is any guide, mustering support in Congress for new public security laws should not be very difficult to accomplish. In an environment where the powers that be have created an air of fear around just about everything from health care to financial reform, it is simply a matter of telling the right story to the American public and Congress.

For those of our representatives who are ready to pull the trigger on more draconian control and surveillance, an attack anywhere within the borders of the United States, similar to what happened in Moscow recently, would be enough to institute public transportation security and surveillance laws within a matter of days if such an event were to occur.'

Terreblanche Murder is 'Declaration of War' by Blacks

'Members of the far-Right AWB threatened vengeance after he was beaten to death in a dispute with two farm workers over unpaid wages. Police said he was attacked to the head with a machete and a club in his bed at his farm outside Ventersdorp, North West province, on Saturday night. Two men, aged 21 and 15, have been charged with murder and will appear in court on Tuesday.

Andre Visagie, the AWB's secretary-general and a leading candidate to succeed Mr Terreblanche as head of the organisation, said the party was planning its response. "The death of Mr Terreblanche is a declaration of war by the black community of South Africa to the white community that has been killed for ten years on end," he said.'

No Joke: Karzai Threatens to Join the Taliban

'Afghan President Hamid Karzai has slammed Western backers for the second time in a week, accusing the United States of interference, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

In a private meeting with up to 70 Afghan lawmakers Saturday, Karzai also warned that the Taliban insurgency could become a legitimate resistance movement if foreign meddling in Afghan affairs continues, the Journal said, citing participants in the talks.

During the talks, Karzai, whose government is supported by billions of dollars of Western aid and 126,000 foreign troops fighting the Taliban, said he would be compelled to join the insurgency himself if the parliament does not back his bid to take over Afghanistan's electoral watchdog.'

Greenpeace To Global Warming Skeptics: 'We Know Where You Live'

'An article carried by the official Greenpeace website written by a Greenpeace member urges climate activists to resort to criminal activity in an effort to reinvigorate momentum for their stalling global warming agenda, while ominously threatening climate skeptics, “we know where you live”.

The article, written by Greenpeace activist “Gene” from India, calls for “mass civil disobedience to cut off the financial oxygen from denial and skepticism”.

“Gene” then has a special message for roughly half of Americans who, in the wake of the climategate scandal, are now skeptical of man-made global warming – “We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work. And we be many, but you be few.”

“Gene” quotes another climate activist who calls for an army of greenies to break the law and take retribution against anyone who stands in their way.'
