Obama's Jewish Supreme Court Nominee Would Weaken Self-Defense Rights for Jews, All Americans
Kagan is bad on guns, Brian Darling reports, over here.
Sixty-five years after the Holocaust, when the world turned its back on defenseless European Jews as they were slaughtered by the millions, an inexperienced, left-wing, anti-self-defense, American Jewish lawyer is likely to become a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. She is hostile to the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which, in the opinion of this politically conservative New York Jew (and lifelong NRA member and supporter of Israel), every American Jew, every minority group member--and every American--should not only support but memorize. The amendment reads: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
Jews should be especially sensitive to threats to the Constitutionally protected, sacred right of self-defense, as the Website of this pro-gun rights Jewish advocacy group makes clear.
Unfortunately, more than 75% of the American Jewish electorate voted for Barack Obama for President in spite of his strong anti-gun rights position, promise to engage (appease) the Holocaust-denying, nuclear-arming, Islamist/Islamonazi Iranian regime and deeply disturbing ties to a whole host of Islamists, anti-Semites, anti-Israel activists, and America-hating Communists.
Obama would ban guns if he could, according to Sarah Palin.
Palin is a patriot, and a great friend of the Jewish people and Israel. Below, a photo of a Hasidic Jewish NRA member, who applauded Palin's address to the group's above-referenced, annual convention.
Extra: Caroline Glick analyzes the role that left-wing, increasingly anti-Zionist Jews are playing in the Obama administration's efforts to undermine Israeli sovereignty. An except:The Obama administration’s attempt to weaken Israel’s sovereignty in Jerusalem is part of a larger move by the international Left to support the Islamic campaign to eject Israel from Jerusalem by denying Jewish rights to the city. The EU is so committed to subverting Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem that even in the midst of its financial crisis, with EU economies seemingly collapsing like dominoes, sources say that the EU mission to Israel has just pledged at least €1 million to Ir Amim. Ir Amim is an NGO whose mission is to undermine Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem. According to NGO Monitor, two-thirds of Ir Amim’s budget comes from the EU and from the Norwegian, Swedish and Czech governments.
In their bid to undermine Israel’s sovereignty, US President Barak Obama and the Europeans are assisted by leftist, increasingly anti-Zionist Jews. Following the lead of the US pro-Palestinian lobby J Street, earlier this month, prominent French Jewish intellectuals Bernard Henri-Levy and Alain Finkielkraut published a manifesto signed by hundreds of their cohorts attacking Israel for the absence of peace in the region and calling on the EU and the US to pressure Israel to surrender Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria to the Palestinians.
On US campuses, far-left Jewish students have taken a prominent role in undermining recognition of Israel’s right to exist. At the University of California, Berkeley, and on other campuses, Jewish students have collaborated with Muslim groups in their campaign to divest the universities’ holdings in companies that invest in Israel.
At Brandeis, Jewish students organized a campaign to disinvite Ambassador Michael Oren from this year’s commencement ceremony.
Not surprisingly, like other Jewish anti-Israel initiatives before, these moves in France and in the US have garnered significant media coverage and support. What received less coverage is the popular backlash in the European and Jewish communities against these initiatives.

Iran Plans Proxy Missile War on Israel
Alex Fishman's analysis is a must-read. Reporting from Israel on the ominous rearmament of Iran's Islamist Lebanese proxy, Hezbollah, Fishman writes:Nobody knows whether a war will break out in Lebanon this summer. Yet what is completely clear is that a war in the north – if and when such war breaks out – will not be like the war that took place there in 2006. Hezbollah is growing stronger every day, in terms of the number of fighters, quantity of missiles, and capabilities. And what’s even more significant: The way this military power will be utilized will be vitally different.

The missile buildup, aimed at terrorizing and ultimately slaughtering large segments of Israel's civilian population, should be seen in the context of Iran's interlinked nuclear and missile development programs. The monstrous mullahocracy, which has repeatedly vowed to annihilate Israel, is clearly seeking to create a nuclear shield for both Hezbollah and Syria in order to deter Israel from using its presumed nuclear weapons against its implacable neighboring foes in an all-out conflict.
For more insight into Iran's nuclear shield, or "defensive"--for Iran's allies bent on destroying Israel--nuclear umbrella, click here to read Barry Rubin's analysis.
Rubin's recent piece on the Obama administration's appeasement (engagement) of Syria is illuminating, too.
